Booked the villa at a very cheap price and was very happy with what we got for the value.
Villa is fantastically situated in between the old town, beach and marina. All only a 10 minute walk away. Supermarket located near the villa a minute or 2 walk away, slightly pricey but comes in handy and convenient.
Villa itself was very large and smart and having 8 people stay didn’t feel overcrowded. Plenty of toilets, showers etc. Very large kitchen and living room area. All bedrooms were good sizes too.
Best part of the villa is the outdoor terraces and pool area. There is 5 to 6 different seating areas to enjoy, 4 of which are near to the built in bbq which we enjoyed and used on 3 occasions.
The pool is a great size and was used on a regular basis all holiday and we all shared some of our best moments in and around it.
If I had to pick faults my main concern was the bed quality. Me and my partner stayed in the room that contained the safe, the bed was very creaky and didn’t help towards getting a good nights sleep. Every time either of us moved during the night the loud creaking would wake us both up. A few others also mentioned about the beds too.
Not a major issue but the kitchen could do with being checked for utensils, for example there was large quantities of certain items but then none of other items like oven trays or pizza cutters what come in handy when catering for 8 people.
I would definitely recommend this villa and if I/we was to come back to Albufeira again we would definitely stay here again.
The villa is in a great position with lovely views, only a short walk into centre of Albufeira, shops and the marina.
The pool was lovely and clean but the patio areas and terraces could do with a good clean, the steps and ground was very dirty in places.
The villa was large and the kitchen well equipped. The bathrooms have all been recently renewed with lovely big showers although the hot water does take a long time to arrive.
My main criticism is the standard of the sheets and pool towels. All the sheets were old, a bit yellowed and bobbly.
The pool towels were old, mine was very thin with holes in.
The queen bed in the 2nd room creaked on every movement as did some of the twin beds.
Air conditioning units have been fitted to three of the bedrooms. However I couldn't reach the one in our room to turn it on and no remote controls were provided.
I did visit the local agents office to ask about them and they said they would look into it and get back to me... they never did. No point in having air conditioning units if you can't use them.
Apart from the bathrooms and pool the villa is a bit tired and need of a good clean and some new sheets and towels.
Previous reviews mentioned shabby chic which is a good description of the furnishings, I should also have taken more notice of the tip to take loo roll, only 6 sheets on the roll in our bathroom.
Overall we had a good time and can't fault the location, it's a good villa but with a bit more attention to detail could be a great villa.
Just returned from Casa Juno. What a great place to stay. We enjoyed the pool, outdoor and indoor facilities as well as great views. The home has everything you need to be self sufficient. It is not for folk who need super shiny polished and new. It is beautifully furnished with a great collection of furniture and art. Shabby chic at its best -just perfect for our family. It is a two minute walk to the shop, five minutes to the beach and ten into the town centre. Lots to see at the nearby marina but why leave - it's got everything you need!
The villa is wonderfully spacious, very well equipped, has fabulous views, great outside areas with a good size, clean pool. It couldn't be in a better spot within walking distance of the beach, town and marina. There's a small supermarket, bar and cafe only 2 minutes away too. The beds were comfy and sheets clean and fresh. Towels were provided on arrival on Saturday and changed on Thursday. Unfortunately there was a general feeling of grubbiness and griminess. The whole place including the soft furnishings are in dire need of a deep clean and most of the upstairs would benefit from a refurbishment as it smells horribly musty and mouldy. I am given to understand by the agents that some improvements are being undertaken next year so hopefully that will rectify the situation? Tip - bring soap and toilet roll!
One of the nicest villas we have ever stayed in. Beautiful home with everything you could need. The pool and terrace are just amazing with spectacular views. The location 10 mins walk to the marina and to the old town, supermarket just around the corner. Thank you Tony for a perfect holiday. We will definitely be back.
Views were amazing, pool was great. Lots of space for two families to stay and very close to all amenities (within walking distance so no car needed)
We would definitely come again.
This house is perfectly situated with the old town, beach and marina in easy walking distance (give or take a few hills!) Even though it is a short distance from shops, restaurants and bars it is perfectly peaceful and it felt very private. The outside terraces are fabulous offering a certain amount of seclusion as well as breathtaking views. The pool area is pretty and the pool itself is refreshing. It's easy to relax and unwind here.
The house's interior is in need of updating and it was not always easy in August's heat to feel comfortable without air conditioning. However, fans were supplied to ensure we survived the hot nights. The heat meant that we had to battle to keep Albufeira's insect life out too. Nevertheless, it is very hard not to appreciate this peaceful, beautiful location which offered us the base for a very relaxing holiday.
