Stayed here with my husband and two children son 14yr and daughter 9yrs. We had a really nice holiday. The kids were happy at the pool most of the time. Found the appts to be quite spacious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Maids came everyday and kept the appt clean, our beds were changed every 3-4 days towels changed every 3 days. Kitchen was adaquate better than some i have stayed in. Entertainment in the appts, there really isn't any but most nights we went out late and by the time we came back it was bedtime. I will definately be back here. Great trips available at reasonable prices. Kids swam with Dolphins at Zoo Marine bit pricey but worth every penny, a good day out. Book trips with travel agents much cheaper than the reps and you travel on same bus. One next door to supermarket whic is only about 3min walk from appts. Food to eat out is reasonable most nights our food was fine. Would recommend the Dubliner for a nice home cooked type of meal.

The rooms are spacious and clean but the balconies (2 in our apartment) were tiny. They are approx 5 foot square with 1 small plastic table and 2 plastic chairs. Not suitable for an apartment that sleeps 4.
The bedding only gets changed once per week. With the weather being hot in August combined with the plastic cover on the matress they were a bit sweaty by day 7.
The towels were not changed enough either but the maids otherwise attended every day excluding Sunday and kept the place clean.
With the apartment being self catering the kitchen was equiped well enough but there was no cleaning stuff to tidy up with such as scowering pads or dishcloths.
The hotel in general was pleasent but the entertainment was nothing to write home about unless you like Parrots that can count or Portuguese Elvis inpersonaters.
The hotel is situated on a busy main road which seems to have traffic zooming past at most times of the day.
The pool area is also quite pleasent. If you require a sunbed near the pool you would have to be up at the crack of dawn to lay your towel on one like the rest of the inconsiderate guests who think it is their right to book their place every day and use it when they want.
On the whole the hotel is nice enough and the resort of Santa Eulalia is ok. Vilamoura and Albufeira are better resorts to holiday in with better focal points such as a marina or a town square. Santa Eulalia only has a busy main street where the nightlife takes place called the Strip.

Stayed here late july early august , we usually stay at the Natura just round the corner near the American diner , but a last minute booking meant we chose here because we had seen the place on the way to the beach last year. Paid extra for a pool view but it was a bit of a waste because the concrete ledges do not make viewing easy. The whole hotel is smart reception, rooms ,bar and pool area .We got up early and had a quiet swim before it got busy . The only problems with the hotel are the road noise and the lack of access to the pool area just one door near the bar. Both oura and santa eulalia beaches are easily reachable , the sea was calm and clear, but at other times of year the sea can be rough and waves can easily take you off your feet if not concentrating . I am not a restaurant critic or foody but the pizza at the cucina (on a side street before the ali supermarket ) was good value and friendly if a little chaotic when busy.
Just try not to get a room at the opposite end to the reception and bar , its a very long walk and a bit like the corridors in 'the shining' without the blood ,axes of course and small boy on a trike.

I have just returned from here after a week there with my g'friend, both of us in our mid 20's, and I must say it exceeded my expectations after reading mixed reviews on here.
It was about an hour on the coach from Faro airport including about 5 stops at other hotels on the way.

It was a nice surprise when we arrived at the hotel... the reception area was large, with the main desk to the right, and the bar area to the left, with a couple of small rooms - reps room and computer / book room. Anyone going should grab one of the maps from the reps room on arrival, very handy!
We were made to feel very welcome when checking in, which took less than 5 mins.
Also on offer they have:
TV remote: 15 euro refundable deposit.
Air-con remote: 15 euro refundable deposit (it can still be used however, without the remote, you just wont get the extra settings).
Safe key: 15 euro rental per week plus 15 euro refundable deposit.
Extra room key: 15 euro refundable deposit.
Internet facility (2 PC's available): 1 euro per 10 mins.
Snack bar serves burgers etc between 11am and 3pm. Everything else such as ice-cream and drinks are served all day.
We had a studio, and it was very spacious, more than enough room for 2 of us. The bed consisted of 2 single beds pushed together so it was quite large.
The kitchen included everything we needed including microwave (with grill), 2 electric hob rings, electric kettle and toaster. The room and hotel in general was clean, tidy and well maintained.
You can also borrow an iron from reception but you must return it after use, I presume they have limited numbers of these, but we never had any trouble getting one.
The pool was a decent size, but if we wanted a sun lounger we had to be out by around 10:30am before they were all taken. There's also a grassed area in front of the outside bar which is quite large with more loungers. The pool was a little chilly at first but was fine after a few minutes.
There's also an indoor pool, but it was closed on the one occasion we went down there, and we never looked since.

Outside the hotel you can find a couple of places to eat within 2 mins, which do breakfasts for 2 euros or less depending on where you go, either Coyote or Teasers. We only went to Teasers once, and opted for the large Canadian breakfast at 4.50 euros which was just the ticket with a hangover! Didn't try Coyote's, as we took mostly our own stuff for breakfast to save some cash, but looking back now, we didn't really need to.

If you're like us and prefer a lively night out, then 'The Strip' is just what you need, with plenty of bars. This is about a 10 minute walk, turning right as you leave the hotel, straight on at the first roundabout, and The Strip starts at the second roundabout. We thought we were going the wrong way at first, but keep going, and it will appear in all its glory with it's flashing lights!
Our fave was probably Matt's Bar, one of the first bars on the strip with a good atmosphere and a bull riding machine which was amusing watching everyone get thrown about.
At this bar we could get a large beer and a Vodka and Coke for 5 euro for both. That went up to about 6 or 7 euro after 10:30. The most we paid at other bars was about 8 or 9 euro. There's plenty of bars to choose from. It did get very busy on Friday and Saturday night, with more locals coming out. We visited The Strip on about 5 nights, and there was never any trouble.
If you want a bit of a quieter night or prefer more relaxed bars and older music, the top end of The Strip will suit you more.
At some bars there are workers outside trying to get you into their bar, but they will not hassle you if you simply say no. Don't be fooled too much by the '2 free shots' offer... you do get the shots, but they contain very little, if any alcohol!

The beach is found by going to the roundabout where The Strip begins, but you turn left instead of right, down 'Cardiac Hill' (their name, not mine!), and it's there after 2 minutes. It wasn't overcrowded, and was nice and clean.

Old Town is another place I highly recommend, in either day or night. There's a mixture of bars for both the young and the experienced, varying from cocktail bars to karaoke bars, and a large selection of shops and restaurants. We twice visited Bravo restaurant in the central square, which was always busy but well worth it, and they serve a good selection from pizza to steak. There also fantasic beach views in several locations here. It was either 2.50 euro each for a 1-way ticket on the train which you had to catch from part way up The Strip, or just grab a taxi from the hotel and pay about 5 euros.

If waterparks are your thing, I recommend 'Slide and Splash' (I think!) which we loved. There's several others, but this one suited our tases more with the good amount of slides. It's a little cheaper if you shop around for tickets... near the first roundabout there's a supermarket, and a ticket shop close by, where we got a bus and entry ticket of 20 euro each.

Overall, it was one of the best holidays I've had, and was ideal for catching the sun in a relaxed atmostphere at the hotel or beach, or enjoying a waterpark or other fun day out (lots to do looking at the list and leaflets in reception, we just didn't have time or money to try it all!), and finishing the day off with a few drinks (or a lot!).

Me and two friends stayed here at the start of June. Was very impressed with what we'd paid for, was expecting it to be not so great. We were happy we didn't pay extra for "pool view" instead we got a gorgeous view of the sea (which was a surprise as we arrived quite late at night and we couldn't see a thing).
Hotel bar was reasonable, bar guys were friendly. Had to pay a deposit for the air-con remote but was refunded on check-out. It was quite necessary otherwise you can't change the temperature of the air-con. It was a bit noisy for the person who slept on the sofa bed but at least it worked aye? Pool wasn't so busy, but there were quite a few people who put their towels out early but it wasn't packed. Additional bathing area on grass next to the bar. The beach was about 10 minutes walk down the hill, really nice little beach, busy. Nice restaurant, we wanted to eat there but ran out of time.
Room was comfortable, 2 single beds in b'room and a pull out sofa bed in lounge. Small kitchenette which we only used for b'fast & lunch. Nice balcony overlooking the busy road (and the gorgeous view), but didn't really notice the cars unless we were looking. Supermarket only 5 minutes up the road handy.
The strip was awful, food wasn't too bad but the pubs & bars were hideous. Too many bar touts offering free shots or free glasses of bubbly in less than clean glasses.
We went down to the old town on the 3rd night, and wished we'd gone there the other two nights.
Had a lovely dinner on the waterfront then wandered about to a few bars. Taxi back to our apartment was very reasonable.
Overall, very impressed, fab holiday with the girls!!

Booked in june for a v cheap price. We really didnt know what to expect and didnt get our hopes up. HOwever, from arrival till the end, I couldnt believe our luck.
Staff are friendly and there is 24hr reception if you ever need any advice. Rooms are clean and the kitchen has everything you need. If you manage to get a balcony facing the sea, the view is fantastic.
Location wise it was exactly what we wanted. 2 min from the shop, 5 min walk to either of 2 very nice beaches, souvenir shops around and small restaurants and bars. NOt too rowdy.
Pool was lovely, and there were always lougers available for all four of us.
2km from albufeira - which we walked quite happily (it;s down hill) but got taxi back (not expensive between 4 of us). Thats where the best restaurants were too. We didnt want a clubby holiday so it suited us very well, and so we steered away from 'the strip', keeping to the old town.

We are just back from the Santa Eulalia and it was a great place to stay. The bar staff were brialliant, can't praise them enough. Sixteen of us travelled ranging from 65 to 1 years old and there was something for everyone to do. If u looking for great nitelife the strip is the place to go {just ask the barman in Eulalia he took on a great nite out} clubs opened all nite. I would also recommed the Zoo Marine, lots of great shows for the kids, especially the dolphin show, its a must see!, What else can i say, breakfast at Cayote next door only 1.50 euro, and dinner at teasers 8 euro for a 3 course meal including drinks, recomened both. Also big out to Neto's just around the roundabout on way to strip first class food highly recommended. P.S. Dolphin watching was great! Shop around for tickets, hotel and reps were rip off.
