Santa Eulalia Hotel Apartamento & Spa

I stayed here for 7 nights with my family - a group of 15; 4 children & 11 adults. We were all very happy & impressed with the clean, spacious rooms & the splendid swimming pool & garden areas. Our party were self-catering so we didn't use the restaurant or catering facilities at all. Neither did we access the childrens' activities as all of our kids were under 7 years. I did look around the spa area which seemed very clean & luxurious. One negative was the dishonesty of the hotel bar staff.......be sure to know the drinks prices & check your change!

This hotel was clean, receptionists helpful and great for families as they had entertainment staff throughout day on duty. The area was unfortunately full of same types of restaurant and not cheap. The barman was a little too friendly with women and creeped me out a bit as I was on my own. I wouldn't go back but didn't totally dislike the place.

Room Tip: Room over pool probably better than road.

The SANTA EULALIA SUITE HOTEL AND SPA (not the other one) is on the main road in the centre of town.
My husband and I visited in early May and these are our commeents and experiences.
Upon arrival we were told that we had a room overlooking the car park and there was no negotiation, My heart sank but when we arrived in a very clean, light apartment on the fourth floor we began to feel better. Because we were this high our view from the balcany was above the car park and overlooked portugese roof tops towards woods and mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and pre-dinner drinks here.
The beaches are a not easy 10-15 min walk away with steep climbs back. They are certainly worth it if you can manage them. Eateries are literally just yards away with streets of 'chips with everything' bars and cafes almost all showing football on large screens. We found an oasis of calm and good food at the Italian restaurant in the main square.
A bus stop is just outside the door and reception will get times if you know where and when you are going. I found them unhelpful in making any suggestions, or adding any local knowledge.
There is a small indoor pool, crowded when I went there and seemingly as cold as the outdoor one.
On the whole, we enjoyed the sun and the beaches andit was reasonably quiet at this time of the year.We had an apartment that was worth the money we paid; kept exceptionally clean by daily maid service and recently refurbished I would think, with enough equipment for our needs.

Room Tip: Beware of lower rooms at the back if you don't want to eat your breakfast in the car park.

Surprise... surprise!
The Santa Eulália Hotel & SPA was upgraded to a 4 stars recently and well deserved.
The new SPA, the refurbished rooms and the location are excelent points to book the hotel.
Santa Eulália beach is just a few meters away (+-250m)
The called strip at short walk.
The new restaurant is also very nice with good food and normal prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with pool view.

It's ok, can't say it's been as bad as some of the reviews I've read, but it is not a four star hotel! Pool was too cold to swim in, no heat at all, so found that really disappointing. I did mention this to staff and they just laughed!
Antonio who runs the snack bar during the day was a real personality, otherwise you didn't find staff were very happy at all.
Place was clean enough and alcoholic drinks reasonably priced but soft drinks were very expensive.
The place itself has gone right down since my last visit thirty five years ago...a real Benedorm Brit culture.....I won't return again.

Room Tip: I was on the front, floor one. It was triple glazed so ok, but if your door was open, traffic noise...

Just had a 5 day break at this hotel.......could not believe how nice it was for the price we paid. This hotel has recently been refurbished and it shows! Our room was spacious, clean and presented well. The kitchen area was adequate and had everything you would need should you wish to self cater (including full size 'fridge). The bedroom was also spacious and the bedding/bed good quality. The surroundings (garden, pool, bathing area) were lovely and well maintained. We will return for a longer stay.

Room Tip: pool view rooms are nicer...you pay a little bit more but it is worth it. If you visit the spa you...

First time at this hotel we found it very nice with a recent refurbisment and friendly well spoken staff, downside was small kitchen area&balcony with little sun&average soundproofing, however a good location within easy reach of shops bars and a fantastic large supermarket only a short walk away very reasonable and they made their own bread daily which was very nice. Teasers bar next to hotel did a superb breakfast for around £2.60 and a pint of super bock for £1.25ish and a sun trap. The pool area was ecxellent quite large with a huge grass area and ample sunbeds although we found it lacking any kind of the normal adult activities ie archery, shooting, pool competitions etc. The bar area is quite good although the drinks and food is more pricey than the bars close by, bar street is a shortish walk and quite lively with something for everyone downside was groups of drunken lads on stag nights etc so be warned. Albufeira is a good 2miles away but a good bus service or taxi only 5euros, a nice square in the old town with bars&shops/restraunts and a good atmosphere. The beaches are a good distance away and down quite a steep hill so bear this in mind. All in all a good hotel we would go back but ask for a more sunny room.

Room Tip: Be aware some rooms have little daily sun and at the front of the hotel is a busy road.
