just spent 2 weeks (25th sept-9th oct) at ourasol and will never return there again and would definately not recommend it to anyone even my worst enemy. it was dirty and dismal and in need of a complete refurbishment, mattresses on beds were all stained, linen changed once in 2 weeks, towels changed 3 times had to by towels to shower, cleaning of rooms was a joke and cleaners not very helpful. had to pay for extra pillows and coat hangers, there was only one wardrobe to hang clothes for 4 adults one room had no no wardrobe or drawers, but surprisingly enough there was a wardrobe in the kitchen to store pots and pans. we had a 2 ring cooker that did not work, a micro wave situated 3 inches above floor level but no kettle or toaster only 3 of the 7 sockets in the apartment worked. the bathroom was the worst i have ever seen the bath had obviously been painted at some time but was flaking and going black but at least there was no smell. the noise at night was horrendous keeping us awake until 4-5am every night the sign in reception about police being called for any noise after 11pm was only there to fill a space on the wall. the balcony was small and dirty and only had seating for 3 there were 4 of us. i think the final insult was when the key broke in the lock and we could not go out as a group until it was fixed some one always had to be there for security we spent a night and 1 day waiting for the manager to appear to fix it, when asked when he was coming to fix it we were told later as he was watering the drive, my husband had had enough and with the aid of a pair of eyebrow tweezers and a knife he finally fixed it but when we went to reception with it they charged us 5 euros for a new key. there was also no mention of the hill in there web site which was exceedingly steep which caused problems for myself and my friend as we both have walking difficulties. lots of reviews ask what we want from our holidays given they were so cheap, well i personally did not think that £399 was cheap and yes i did expect to get the basic equipment not to have to pay extra for a second pillow or 1 euro for ever extra coat hanger. think twice before you go here its just a dirty dismal rip off hotel with unfriendly staff except for one receptionist who spent most of her time apologising to guests about the state of the place

After reading some people's review on here we were not sure what to expect, and i am not sure what some people want from a place to stay. It is not the Ritz, but was run by very helpful staff, it was clean and tidy with towels and linen changed regularly, and it had a kettle, fridge and cooker. The apartment (we are a couple) was huge (big enough for a family of 4) with a single bed, a bed/settee in the living room aswell as a big bedroom with ample wardrobe space. As i said, it certainly had everything you would want from a not so expensive hotel. We would have no qualms about returning, it is on a hill but even with my bad ankle i did not find the 2 minute walk to the beach, or the 5 minute walk to the "strip" a problem. The pool area is smallish but plenty of lounger's available, and you can order snacks (toasties etc...)

Room Tip: We had an apartment viewing the pool, which does not get the sun, you need to be the other side if y...

stayed here from the 25Th September till the 2Nd October. Basic but clean apartment although dated towels were changed daily and sheets changed once also apartment was swept and areas moped beds were comfortable. kitchen could do with a few extras such as a kettle and toaster and mugs. we did have a unpleasant smell in the bathroom on times but it was clean and if you put the plugs in it helps. The steps every were were not helpful down to the pool with no hand rail the pool area has a large step up to it and the pool had no rails to hold on to when getting in to the pool not easy to get in to the pool without this. plenty of sun loungers around the pool and you can hire a mattress for the sun lounger for 1.50 euro per day. The staff were very helpful even calling the transfers for us we had no noise in the apartments from other guests. the area is very hilly and difficult for getting around unless you are quite fit the hill up the main strip is long and steep and a small hill down to the beach also steps to go on to the sand. some supermarkets at the bottom of the hill and bars etc. if you are fit and don't mind hills then worth staying for the price.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in! Wouldn't let my dog stay in this hotel never mind a human being. We booked this apartment in June 2012 for Sept 2012 and with having a 5 month old baby we booked a ground floor room. When we arrived at the apartment on the Friday afternoon I wouldn't even say we were greeted warmly but we could get over that. Once all the formalilies were sorted we were advised of our room number on the first floor. We explained that we booked the ground floor hence having a baby with a buggy and would need to be moved, We were told nothing could be done about this til the Monday of the next week. We got to our room after only one us being able to fit in the lift comfortably with the pram whilst the other one took the stairs and a smell hit us of drains. We opened the door to the bathroom and had to shut it straight away. How were we meant to take a shower in there never mind bath our baby! The bedroom and living room area were nothing to look at also. Our room was meant to be self catering and you never guess what we had to ask for? A kettle! Our room didn't even have a kettle or a microwave or a plug for the sink so we had fun trying to sterilise bottles for the baby as you could imagine. There was a booklet of everything kept in the apartment and how much they would charge if you damaged anything. We complained about the vile smell in the apartment the next day and the receptionnist advised us the plumber was coming on Monday! This was not good enough as the smell had made us feel physically sick. Along with the fact we had had no sleep having to endure (this is no exaggeration) the noise of people shouting all over the apartment block all night and the 'ping' of the nearby lift all night long. We understand people are having fun but what is laughable is the sign in reception stating that if there is any noise after 11pm then the police will be called! Joke! Anyway, the last straw was when we attempted to run a quick bath and a cockroach came out the plughole and demanded to be moved. They eventually moved us across the road to another block of apartments. What can we say, the only decent thing about that place was there was no smell. There was one plug socket in the bedroom which was hanging out the wall, wires and everything. No child older than our son could have stayed there. The decor was drab, it smelt musty and yet again we had to ask for a kettle. A dribble of warm water came out the shower head and the bath tap and on our last night we used our five litre water bottles from the kitchen tap to fill a hot bath. We felt so poor having to live like that and it was not acceptable on holiday. A time you're meant relax. We spent every day out of the apartment and in the end couldn't wait to get home. We advise nobody to stay here.

Room Tip: dont bother

on booking these aprtments i had been totally oblvious to the comments but then when the time grew closer i read some and was appalled at some of them and started to fret over what i had booked for me and my boyfriend's first holiday together! here i will tell the truth!! on arrivial we were granted all the requests i had made early check in and ground floor! off we went to room 007 and going down on the lift wasnt pleasant as it was very tiny and closed in, once we opened the lift door all i could describe it as was a dungeon, no lights and not a clue what was to meet us, so had to use our phones for light to find our room, eventually got to the room went and was quite surprised that there was no smell that meet me, kitchen and dining area was very spacious and clean! then the bedroom was next, opened door was two single beds pushed together which isnt surprising as most places do this, then opened the sliding wardrobe and the smell was disgusting, a mixture of damp, mould and pee! bathroom next and i wouldnt fault the facilities in the bathroom shower was very powerful and toilet etc was fine but the smell was horrible the shower curtain had taken some abuse over the time and was covered in mould pee and lord knows what else! as the comments from previous people had scared me i had packed flash wipes and to sort the smell in the sliding cupboard out we hung several wipes there but we did not place our clothes in here as was simple disgusting! the same with the bathroom. the sofa in the living area was also smelly but some deodrant sorted the stence of this! the pool is freezing and small! the staff are nice some of them some not so nice! getting a drink at the bar can prove time consuming as there is only one lady on both reception and the bar! ice lolly selcetion isnt the best!! nor is the food! they ran out of drink while we were there so we resorted to spending our time on the beach as alot of young ones were round the pool and were unbearable to listen to! is in a conveinet spot as well bit of a hill to the town but only two minutes from the beach and a supermarket! wouldnt return ever as there were other three star resorts and were a lot cleaner and over all nicer!

Room Tip: ground floor seems cleaner than any of the rest of the apartments!
