Just got back from a 4 day stay at the Velamar, what a lovely hotel, Breakfast lovely and fresh, rooms cleaned every day including New Years Day, The bar in the hotel is lovely, modern, and comfortable, staff are all friendly and helpful. Try the Soft Cafe next door, the food and service are great and at very cheap prices.

Stayed for 7 nights over new year. What a wonderful hotel, very clean, friendly helpful staff and really comfortable beds. The breakfast was extensive, fresh and topped up constantly. Well done Velamar............

Fantastic hotel, we stayed at the velamar twice this year our first trip was so nice we re-booked withing days of coming back in February 2011, for September into October 2011, we love this place so we booked again for February 2012,

Very clean and tidy hotel, beds are lovely and firm, rooms are cleaned everyday, fresh continental breakfast which is well worth getting up early for, As for the staff they just cant do enough for you, even down to making phone calls for you as we only speak English, reception and bar staff are so nice we have became good friends and stay in touch via email, Well done to our lads (they know who they are and we look forward to seeing them again in February 2012 when we arrive for another 8 nights,

Eating out in the area is lovely, The Soft Cafe is excellent, with Bruno and his mum Tif always serving us such lovely fresh meals and Bruno speaks very good English.

The indian next to the hotel called Tiffany`s is lovely too in fact in both our visits this year we have never had a bad meal or any complaints while being in Portugal, We are looking forward to February 2012

Room Tip: back rooms over look pool, which we had the same room twice this year

We spent a week in February at this hotel, the price was quite low during this period. Breakfasts were good, ham, cheese, muffins, some fruits and juice were at reasonable quality. Hotel is located about 1,5km from the nearest beach, but most beautiful beach is about 5 km away (Praia do Falesia). It has outdoor pool, but it is not heated so in February the water was cold.
Room was clean and the staff was helpful. The hotel has its own parking.

Room Tip: Room at 2nd floor are the best.
