We have just returned from a month in the villa and it was fantastic.
Comfortable with amazing roof terrace and balcony with views over the bird sanctuary onto the sea.
The log fire came in very handy for the colder nights, warming the whole place up and making it cosy and warm.
The villa is ideal for two people but could easily hold four with the two double bedrooms. It is well furnished and equipped and Jo was a great owner leaving us a great welcome pack, which was ideal to get us over the first day.
I would say that you definitely need a car as there is not much locally and also to make the most of all the beautiful beaches.
We have just spent a total chill out week in this fabulous well equipped villa. High quality beds and linen. So much thought has been given to make our stay comfortable. The roof terrace is outstanding, beautifully furnished and even a roof top fridge! The resort restaurant and pool bar were an added bonus delivering excellent service and great menus. Will most definitely be back soon to Villa 3A and highly recommend it.
We've just got back from spending a week with my sister and her husband in this absolutely beautiful, tranquil villa! The decoration is of excellent quality and the views from the roof terrace are absolutely stunning day and night!
The staff in the office and the people who run the pool bar and also the restaurant on site are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
We didn't go riding at the lovely equestrian centre, but for myself and my sister who are horse lovers, we spent many a pleasant hour watching the riders going out and waiting for their return!
The whole experience was a most relaxing and chilled out one from start to finish and we will most definitely be returning as soon as possible.
Thank you so much to Jo and Steve Kitchen for lots of useful information before the trip too about the villa and surrounding area.
Can absolutely recommend this villa!!
Having stayed approximately 10 times in last 20 years this is a great villa, stayed in many different ones and this has nice quiet location and great views too.
Good quality furniture on roof terrace and small terrace enhanced the feel of the property. We appreciated the air conditioning .The pool bar & restaurant are under new management enjoyed the food at both.Very friendly staff and after the restaurant meal we stayed chatting to people at the bar , was very good atmosphere. Only one small niggle really that when we arrived were only sheets on the bed in master bedroom the bedspreads were on washing line still damp. Both rooms have one firm and one soft mattress so choose which you prefer!
Husband and daughter used the stables And enjoyed a morning ride to the Beach .
Owner very easy and straightforward to deal with and owners of other villas who asked where we were staying always said oh she is Lovely! Will definitely be back again to the Quinta as it is a wonderfully relaxing place.

This year was the third time we had stayed in Villa 3a, and once again it was just perfect. The villa is beautifully maintained and decorated. The Quinta is a little piece of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The villa has a wonderful roof terrace where we would watch the shooting stars whilst enjoying a drink and a barbecue.
The children love the freedom the Quinta gives them and spent all day in the pool.
A welcome addition this year was Mario in the pool bar, who makes the best cocktails and can offer advice on where to go in the area.
The restaurant and food in the pool bar were both excellent this year.
Can't wait to get back to the Quinta next year.
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful villa.
This is the 2nd year that we have stayed at villa 3a after loving the place so much last year.
Firstly, the Quinta da Saudade is one of the nicest, picturesque places that I have ever visited. With the villa being located at the top of the Quinta the views in the morning, and evenings, are remarkable.
We would spend the early mornings sat on the balcony directly outside the living area having a coffee and watching groups leaving for an early beach trek on the horses. Evenings are perfect to sit up on the roof terrace and have a BBQ. We also regularly turned the lights off and lay on the huge cushioned furniture watching the stars with our little girl. The sunsets over the hills also made it a perfect setting for me to pop the question to my now fiancee. Words can't describe how great the place is really.
With the addition of a dishwasher to the villa this year it made life even easier and as said in other reviews the maids are great and will hang any washing out that is left as well as putting more in to wash if you need them too. You can't ask for better service than that.
The location of the villa is great and about a 10/15 min drive into the centre of Albufeira if you want a lively night and nice food.
More locally there is a restaurant on site which had changed ownership this year. The owners also run the lower pool bar and Mario, the barman, makes the best mojitos and other cocktails.
There is also a lovely Italian down the road called Prima Pasta (which also do take aways) and another restaurant called Musea dos Salgados which I would recommend.
There are 4 or 5 beaches a short drive away. Our favourite being Galé.
There's not much more I can say apart from that I've already booked for another 3 weeks next year when me and my partner will be getting married in Portugal.
If you want a peaceful location with breathtaking views around the corner from albufeira then this is the perfect place to stay.
Joanne and Steve also left us a bottle of bubbly and a card to congratulate us on our engagement which was a really nice touch.
It really is top class!!
