stayed for 2 weeks, rooms are basic but very clean and cleaned daily. Location of the hotel is very good but not suitable for the less abled situated on a very steep hill, over looks a lovely beach. Stayed self catering, paid for 1 breakfast in the hotel, don't bother use the Tardis bar just above the hotel excellent english breakfast. Had one evening meal there and as a one off it was excellent value and there was a good choice. Taxis's to the town are cheap 4 euros, excellent and friendly bar 5-10 minutes walk Cheers 1.50 euro's a pint. Not the best of hotels but excellent value for money

Just returned from a week here, and found very little to complain about. As a budget holiday u could nt get better. The rooms were big and clean(even tho tv did nt work, lol)Had no issues at all with the staff or the food.and the location is perfect for beach, town, etc.Looking at other reviews,it seems that people want 5* service for budget prices, and expect to be treated with 5* deference.Remember you do get what you pay for,and budget holidays dont come much better than this.Would definately come here again, but between may and september(weather was very wet)NOT HOTELS FAULT.

Spent 1 week there with my family & hated it. Very poor food, lived on bread, cake & chips, decor & level of service awful. All inclusive holiday, but although we had wrist bands we had to swipe our room card to get a drink from the bar every time & when we went for food we also had to show our booking card. I felt as if we were clocking in for work. (Not comfortable at all)
Breakfast drinks machine broke down on day 2 & was still broken when we left, ran out of white wine? It rained 1 day & the bar roof leaked all over, no clean up attempted, all they did was put up those plastic warning triangles.
Outside the hotel there is a plot of land on which many chickens/cockerels live & they start crowing before light, i love nature believe me, but it was too much. Hotels response was "not there problem" You can not sleep through this!!
We had a small problem with a nut dispensing machine & asked staff for help only to be told the machines belonged to someone else & they were unable to help, they told me to ring the number on the machine??
As we were watching TV one afternoon in the bar a member of the staff almost muted the sound as she had been told it was too noisy by the then duty manager, WE were the only people in the place & then were unable to hear.
That's it. Do not go there!!!!
I will never go back there & advise all to beware.

Where shall i start, the hotel is full of common people who are use to their drinking in social clubs not my cup of tea. i stayed in the m2 block which was meant to be 4* but more like 2* and you get drunken yobs coming back around 3-4 am swearing and carrying on and moving furniture around and throwing their sofa cushion arm from their apartment onto the our balacony i went to complain to the duty manager there and he didn't seem bothered he said he will have a word with security which was a joke too. The food was really basic a tip if you want breakfast and want it warm get in the restaurant at 07:50 as it gets like feeding time at the zoo after 8, for the evening meal food wasn't warm at all so i waiting for the chef which was cooking something every night to cook something fresh fish, chicken, steak etc. Another thing also the waitress comes round at evening meal and asks you what drink you would like and on the ocassion she came round and said " what you want" i would rather she wouldn't come over if she feels like she can't be polite and get someone else to come over very poor customer service. I went all inclusive which i didn't feel like i gott the value from and had to eat out down in the old town where you get a better class of people and really nice restaurants

We stayed at the Monica Isabel from 26th October to 6th November 2012.After reading some bad reviews we arrived with some trepidation and extra money in case we had to change hotels and guess what? The staff were all pleasant and helpful, the apartment was spacious, clean and quite comfortable with great sea view (not requested!).Some of the publc areas are a little dated but all clean and ok.The entertainment was mediocre but ok if you did'nt want to go to town which is just a ten minute walk away, and it is free so why complain?!
Free internet wifi and free A/C.
Housekeeping staff,every day,excellent service
We were self catering and non all inc.The drinks at the bar were good and generous, the indoor pool and jucuzzi clean and good.We did not try the food so can't comment on that.
Location is great for the beach and town
Low cost and worth the money, would go again.
Only downside was the now too common arrival of some Brits with the manners of pigs, expect to stay at the Ritz for a fiver, criticise everything and would have been more at home in a zoo than a hotel! But you can't have everything!!!

Room Tip: We were in M block, good rooms and quiet but near the childrens play area so could be noisy in high s...

We got a good deal from on the beach, was worried having read reviews but was pleasantly surprised, self catering apartments good, large balcony although we had a poor view (trees), couldnt be bothered asking for a change we were only sleeping in it as out all day,,free bus at different times throughout the day into town, although you can walk along beach to it takes 15 mins ,,,we would have loved more sunshine which would have been the icing on the cake, beach lovely,,people who book budget holidays should not go looking for 5 star,,, hotel right at beech,, entertainment wasnt great but probably better in summer,,,,free internet was handy ,,all staff very nice i found, self catering could do with a few extras ie,,tea towel, washing up liquid, pasta drainer, frying pan , another pot ,was only 2 there, maid service super and lovely lady ,, few cats around which i loved ....

Room Tip: local super market expensive, there is a lidl 10 mins away you could get a taxi and stock up for wee...
