We booked a studio apartment for my husband and I to stay at Ondamar to attend a family wedding near by. I have to say, from arrival we were disappointed. WiFi is only free in the lobby we were informed so we purchased internet access for our room at a cost of E20 for the week. This would only allow 2 devices and we were informed we would need to spend aother E20 for any more. I am glad we chose not to as the internet access in the rooms is so slow that i would say it was only usable about 20% of the time. It was certainly not fast enough to stream movies or upload our holiday pictures. The corridor to our room was dark and there were a number of steps to lug our bags up to the room. We were offered no help with this. (Neither was my mother-in-law who is in her 60s). It was 3 days into our trip when i finally found the light swiitch for the corridor which made it a little less hazardous to negotiate. Our room was basic to say the least. Our bed was a "Murphy Bed" that folded up against the wall. it appeared if there was meant to be an actual bed in the room but it must have been removed. The staff were civil but not exactly friendly and overall this hotel beeds a major face-lift to drag it out of the early 90s! This hotel was not value for money and I cannot fathom how they have been awarded a 4 star rating. There are many more hotels with much better locations and facilities near by that i would book in the future.

Excellent apart-hotel between old town and the strip (bit closer to the strip). Hotel has wonderful rooms with all you will need, comfortable beds with quality linen (that's so important). Pool great, with lots of loungers, though they do run out by late morning and a pool bar for food/drink. There is a restaurant and bar but neither seems to be used - I guess most people are like us and head out. Large supermarket (and shops) about 800 yards away - out hotel and turn left towards old town. Taxis plentiful and cheap - though at night you will queue for them (especially in the old town)

Room Tip: All rooms seem to have a pool view. Trade off in that rooms such as we had (209) gave a great view but bedroom had some road noise. Last time we were at the other end of the hotel (floor -2 which is really ground floor) and it was a lot quieter but view wasn't so good.

6 of us stayed here in late june (3 couple). location is amazing 7 min walk to the trip and a 4 euro taxi to old town. they also have a free bus that goes to oldtown twice a day. pool was excellent and huge and i loved the fact they would not allow people to hold sunbeds.

pool was very clean and cocktail bar beside pool was excellent 6 euro for a cocktail tough touch high but at least they were stong. no lifeguard present but that did not bother me. did not eat at hotel because we either ate out or cooked in the room. we had t huge rooms and a pull out sofa which was left spotless everyday by cleaners. 2 big bathrooms with more than enough fresh towles everyday.

a spar supermarket is a 3 min walk and opens at half 8 every morning.

we decided to get internet in the room which for 7 night s cost us 20.00 which i thought was good. staff were brilliant not 1 complaint

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms are very spacious with good views

Just returned from a 10 day holiday staying at ondamar hotel, couldn't of asked for better, the staff were brilliant really kind and helpfull, cleaners great, clean towels every day and room cleaned, we weren't leaving till 5pm but were still more than welcome to use the pool, we left our luggage in a small room, granted not locked but the door is alarmed and everytime the alarm goes off the staff check the camera also we were supplied towels to use their showers before we left, good pool bar snacks and good prices only the juice was over priced, overall great holiday and great hotel, we will be back :-D

I'm just back from a week's stay in a spacious 2 bed apartment in the Ondamar. It was a great location for getting from the strip and also to the Old Town (which was only a 5 minute taxi journey away). The staff were friendly & helpful and the hotel is kept spotless. The pool area is kept really well with lots of sunbeds and a good cocktail bar! I definitely would stay again
