Had a 2 week hoilday all in. The rooms were clean & tidy & spacious with all facilities .The location of the hotel was perfect with the strip a walk away one side and the old town a walk away the other .But no need to walk taxi only 3 -5 euros or a train for 4 euros all day .The staff were all very helpfull & polite. The food was not always the best but you had lots of choice .All in all the hotel was good value for money but would benifit from a small refurb .

Just returned from a 2 week holiday and stayed at this small and friendly hotel. Appartment was very spacious with dinning table and chairs and a well equiped kitchinette with hob, microwave, toaster and larder fridge with ice making compartment. Bathroom nice size containing a toilet, bidet, shower, bath, hand sink and an hairdryer. 2 very large beds with bedside tables and lamps with a flat screen tv showing English programmes. Air conditioning was included. There was a small but adequate sized balcony with table and chairs overlooking the pool. Lovely sized clean pool with a large terrace. Food and drink were plentiful catering for all tastes breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.A large television lounge with a pool table and a bar lounge with sports tv. Outside there was a varanda to enjoy your drinks with a smoking area. Rooms cleaned every day, beds made up and fresh towels daily. Sheets were chainged 3 times. Reception staff are very welcoming, helpful and informative. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Maid service fantastic. Ideal location central to the old/new town and the beach and strip. Taxis very cheap and a good service from the land train at 4 euros for the whole day. Adjacent to a supermarket, take-aways and resteraunts. Would recommend a stay here. Needs a little cosmetic work on the furniture and need more sunloungers. FANTASTIC HOLIDAY.

Room Tip: Second floor ideal.

Booked a 3 day mini holiday for 3 adults here. We had been previously and had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment. On arrival we were allocated a double room!!!??? There were 3 of us so we went back to ask what was going on. We were then told they were full and a camp bed would be allocated to this tiny double room......just awful. We complained and were told to come back to reception tomorrow. Needless to say, nothing was done the next day . We were told we had booked a suite and not an apartment and this is what we had. The Hotel Manageress was intractable and would not even discuss it. We would have been happy to pay for an upgrade if that is what it took.
A very awkward 3 days were spent in a tiny double room with a camp bed and 3 adults, two female and one male. All in all Albufiera is lovely but this hotel totally ruined a very much looked forward to break for us all. To add insult to injury we had cockroaches in the bathroom and have photos to prove it. Bar staff are lovely and work very hard as do the cleaners.

On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, telling us about the hotel facilities and rental of the safe in the room. When we arrived at our room, 301, we were pleasantly surprised at he size and the layout of the room. There was a small kitchenette area on one side of the room with microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, fridge and electric hob and all necessary crockery and cutlery. There was also a small table & chairs and a small table with the TV on, which was flatscreen and modern. It was nice to find that the air conditioning was not charged as an extra but was included in the price of the room. The bathroom was clean and included a bath with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The shower head could have done with a little attention as it had been taped to hold it together, but it still did the job it was meant to!
Due to our arrival time we had missed lunch, but only had to wait a little while until they served hot snacks from the bar, which were made fresh to order and included burgers, hotdogs, baguettes, toasties, fries and salad and were very nice and tasty.
Breakfast was the usual mushrooms, scrambled egg or boiled egg, beans, bacon & sausage (which was English 'meat' sausage, not the usual hotdog!) as well as fresh bread rolls, cheeses, cold meats, Croissants, jams, waffles, toast, yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit. It was also nice to find camomile tea bags and lime teabags for those of us who do not drink the usual English Tea or coffee!
The fresh salads at Lunch and Dinner were always varied and fresh, with things like tomato and avocado salad and tuna pasta salad as well as the usual lettuce, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, sweetcorn, grated carrot etc. The hot food at mealtimes was delicious, plentiful and again varied, with soup, salad, meat and fish dishes as well as a pasta dish, chips and vegetables. Fresh bread rolls were available at every meal too. For dessert there were cakes, fresh fruit and ice cream.
The drinks available in our All Inc. package were good quality and the local Malibu & diet coke that I drank tasted as close to the real thing as you could get. The local Baileys also was very good quality, and the beer was Estrella on tap. There was also freshly made coffee available. There was never more than 1 person in front of us in the queue at the bar, and both Pedro and Carlos were working extremely hard when on their shift, clearing tables, taking snack orders, serving drinks, making coffees, emptying bins etc.
The sunbeds around the pool area have seen better days as they were saggy and uncomfortable to lie on, although there were plenty of lilos available for guests to use and most people put them on top of the sunbed to lie on, so was not a real problem.
There is a large supermarket at the end of the road for any extras you may need, and the strip in the new town is within a 10-15 minute walk. We caught the small tourist road train which does a big loop around the strip in the new town and further down to the old town and the beach. We had nights and days out in both areas. The outdoor escalators which take you down the cliff to the beach is a novelty!
On the day we left we had to check out at 11am. We left our cases locked in a room in reception until we had to get ready, and were leant fresh towels and able to use the showers and get ready before our taxi arrived at 4.30pm.
We totally enjoyed our holiday at Varandas de Albufeira and would recommend it.

Just returned back from 5 nights.I must say the weather was fantastic which was a bonus as i believe the week before it werent so clever .Well here goes a truthful review yes the sunloungers have had there day but as said many a time theres a lot of lilos to make them comfy. In room 208 which was only 4 doors away from the bar didnt hear much noise. The breakfast was the 1st surprise dont normally eat breakfast but english sausage was there so had a couple of breakfasts. Was on all inclusive paid rather cheap so wasnt expecting much but didnt miss a meal a lovely meat and fish dish at lunch and dinner. My partner loved the tuna baguettes he had 1 almost everyday. The drinks were of very large measures for the shorts but am a beer drinker an the beer was 1 of the best i have had at a all inclusive. Also for all you soft drinks people they are branded .You are 10 mins walk from old town which was very busy even at this time of year. And the strip 15 mins walk. The staff at the apartments are as friendly as everyone says.Close to everthing big supermarket kfc and macdonalds .I will go back again hopefully soon So please be open minded its never 4 star but very good 3 star.

We have just returned after spending 2 weeks here. Overall we found it a very pleasant and relaxing holiday. The food became a bit boring but they did try to cater for all tastes, the salads were always crisp and fresh and different pasta and meat dishes every day.
The rooms were clean and towels changed regularly - very understaffed with the barman trying to run the bar and clear tables in the restaurant (on a different floor) at the same time. besides emptying bins and sweeping and mopping bar areas.
Full credit to.the lovely Carlos and Pedro who both worked so hard, also Michelle a very good receptionist always helpful.
