4 of us stayed here from the 27th April for 4 nights and I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is not the best in Albufeira by far, however it was clean and the rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. The bathrooms were huge compared to some places I have stayed and the view from the balcony first thing was great.

I think you could easily pick about the small things but the hotel itself is located close enough for you to go out and explore the old town as well as the strip. Costing about 5 to 8 euros in a taxi. Split between the four of us this was a small expense we were happy to pay. We went out into the old town each night as we didn't want to sit around the hotel as there isn't much on in the way of entertainment. But then I never understand why anyone would really want to sit in a hotel all night when they have paid to travel to a foreign country? The old town is great to walk around and stop and have a drink. We saw a few bars allowing children to sit in and outside of so I think it's worth getting out an exploring. The old town has some great places to eat, my advice is head into the side streets and up further into the old town to find the better more authentic places. The Ruin was a great place to eat but on the more pricey side. Restaurante Grill 54 in old town is worth a visit for the views and the food as well as the staff. We had a great night there!

Coming back to the hotel. The food is ok, we found that there was something you could easily have each day, breakfast was great with a mixture of cereals, fruit, breads, meats, pancakes, eggs of all sorts and yoghurts. I don't think you could complain. Dinner was always a mixture of a fish dish, meat dish, salads and also burgers, hotdogs, chips, pasta. You get the picture. It was always fresh as we went to eat early. I would recommend going as soon as you can to get your food as there is plenty there and it's fresh and hot. Evening meals pretty much the same. Like I said, there is plenty of choice and I am surprised by some people saying there was limited food? We had blue bands which we were offered when we checked in. We were told the eating times and offered to swap to the later option if we wanted. The reception staff were very friendly and approachable. We ate out two of the nights so it kept it varied for us over the short stay.

Now, the drinks seemed to cause an issue. Basically they are small cups, you are only allowed two per person at a time and this can cause the bar to get busy. My advice, have a chat to the other guests while your waiting. Complaining to the bar staff gets you nowhere, it's not their fault and they try their best. Your on holidays so relax and don't stress. Expect to wait for drinks and you won't be disappointed when you get there!

Finally, the pool. It's freezing!!!! It may warm up during the season but it was damn cold when we stayed. We did enjoy the looks of peoples faces as they braved the pool. We all went in and it was refreshing, but very cold! The sea is just as cold so be warned!

Overall we were happy with this hotel, you can use the facilities at the sister hotel and would recommend going there to try their cocktails! Apparently you get 25% off your bill there. We didn't know that but the cocktails were amazing!

There are some great beaches around and the old town is lovely so get out and about and you won't be disappointed. We didn't use the spa etc so I can't comment. Cafes down the road do lovely coffees and they are cheap!

It's not a bad hotel. It has it's flaws but I have stayed in much worse for a higher price!

Our group was aged 35 to 50 and none of us had a complaint!

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for your constructive comments and review. It was a real pleasure to read how much you enjoyed your stay with us.

Only demanding customers like you allow us to improve our service and continue to exceed expectations.

Regarding the comment about the pool, unfortunately it is not possible for us to heat the outdoor pool, but it is possible to use the SPA indoor pool which is warmer.

We would also like to inform that we have a free transport to the beach and centre of Albufeira, at pre-selected times.

Allow us to clarify the following information for the future, Real Bellavista’s All Inclusive guests have, in fact, free access to Grande Real Santa Eulália Hotel facilities, but with a discount of 10% and not 25% on the different outlets.

We look forward to welcoming you again to the Real Bellavista Hotel & SPA for an hopefully even more enjoyable experience and remain at your entire disposal for any assistance you might require.

Kind regards,
Rita Machado

We stayed here from 26th - 30th April on an all inclusive basis and had a great time. We were a bit apprehensive about the food as some of the reviews stated that the food wasn't so good. We had no problem at all - we thought the food was very good with ample choice. We were out all day so only had lunch on one day but that was good too - I don't know what some of the reviews meant by only having burgers and hot dogs - I think they must have been looking at the afternoon snacks not lunch! We would definitely stay at the Real Bellavista again if we stayed in Albufeira. We did a kayak tour in Portimao which I would thoroughly recommend. Also Silves, Lagos, Loule and Tevira are definitely worth a visit.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the front of the property appear to be quieter as the bar and restaurant are at the rear of the hotel

The AI for drinks was
OK but if you went out & got back to hotel after 11oclock you had to pay for your drinks even tho the bar was open till 1am .We will go back to Portugal later on in the year but defenetly not to the belivista.

Room Tip: Rooms over pool were good from 2nd floor upwards

Dear Guest,

We regret that your stay did not entirely correspond to your expectations and we are disappointed that the only aspect you were not satisfied with was the food quality and variety.

As before stated we are aware this is a very sensitive matter since it’s related with the personal taste of each one and that is why we try to offer a diverse food selection in every meal in order to suit the preferences and tastes of all guests, like soups, fish, meat, vegetarian and pasta main dishes, several plain and composed salads, several side dishes as vegetables, potatoes, rice, desserts buffet, cheese board, etc.

Please be also assured all food on our buffets is daily and freshly homemade.

We do our efforts to provide entertainment in the night, very diverse and that meets the interests of all our guests, families, kids and adults.

Our entertainment program also have several activities happening all day long, seven days a week, for adults and families.

We sincerely appreciate your feedback and will certainly share your opinion with our Food & Beverage Manager and our Entertainment Manager in order to do our utmost to improve wherever we can.

We hope to welcome you back soon to The Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa.

Kind regards,
Rita Machado.

This hotel was booked last minute and it definitely exceeded expectations. We stayed for 5 days in April and we had a very pleasant time as a couple. The hotel lobby was spacious, the rooms a little dated but didn’t bother us too much as everything that we needed was provided. We stayed all inclusive and felt the variety and taste of food on offer was very good. Afternoon snacks were a bit repetitive with just baguettes on offer every day, so I feel that a bit more variety in the afternoon would be better. The hotel entertainment wasn’t so good either for a 22 and 20 year old, it was mainly quiz nights and parrot shows, so a quick all inclusive alcoholic drink at the bar and off to the main town is always a better choice (there are many bars in the old and new town, where we took a 5minute taxi ride to every night). The pool area was sufficient for our stay, the water a bit cold but expected for that time of year, and plenty sunbeds.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the Bella Vista Hotel, as it was a nice all inclusive hotel and spa, where you could laze around the pool all day, and then hop in a taxi for 5 minutes to Albufeira town. Well worth the money.
