Efficient check in, lovely modern, clean apartments. Bar prices very reasonable, was expecting them to be higher given where the apartments are located.
Reception extremely helpful, arranged return taxi into old town (€22).

My family and I have stayed here many times and the best part is always the really friendly staff it was originally a bit worn down but last visit it has all been redecorated. Food is good and apartments aren't bad either I always plan to go back!!

We stayed at this hotel from the 1st of April for 10 nights, after a very delayed flight we arrived at the hotel at 1am and the receptionist who checked us in was very accommodating and helped us as quickly as she could (her shift had finished at 12am but she stayed to welcome us as the security guard spoke very little English) on arrival to our room we where quite disappointed as we had booked a 1 bedroom apartment for me, my hubby and our 11yr old son but unfortunately it wasn't a seperate bedroom am more a studio apartment (we had booked the holiday to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary so understandably we would have preferred some privacy) however the room was nice and very clean and had everything you needed. The hotel was in a very quiet place with very little to do so we hired a car through the reception (€90 for 7 days and managed to get a free upgrade to a bigger car also) so that we could get around better with out forking out for taxis all the time. There is a little supermarket in the next road which was great for all your needs and there are a few restaurants not far too (a couple of steak houses to the left of the roundabout and a nice big Italian to the right near the beach and an Indian near there too), there is a brilliant little sports bar too called planet fusion which I would highly recommend for the evenings, cheap beer, entertainment, music, a little arcade to keep the kids entertained and they also serve food there . The beach is around a 10 min walk away and it is gorgeous. Other than that it is in a very secluded location which is great if thats what you want but if you want to be nearer to the hussle and bussle then your better off staying nearer to the old town or the strip. The weather wasn't the best whilst we where there but we still had some beautiful sunshine too.
All in all I would stay here again now i know what to expect, the staff where great and the rooms where clean it is just in a poor location (though it does look like a very new resort so it could improve over time)
If you have already booked then i recommend hiring a car or downloading the uber app (uber taxis where nearly half the price of a normal taxi)

First time in Portugal and the last. Stayed bed and breakfast for 1 week. Arriving April the 1st 2019.

Arrived at bayside after midnight, stepped off the transfers bus and all we could smell was sewers (not the best start), reception staff were lovely and checked us in straight away. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. 3 of us were staying so the sofa bed needed to be used. Apartment very basic (microwave, kettle and hob). Bathroom a bit shabby and looked like it needs updating to match the rest of the apartment. Balcony was big however didn’t get any sun so it was pointless. No sockets in the bed room which was annoying to charge your phone either in the kitchen or bathroom. Bed very very uncomfortable and hard, we used the spare duvets to put underneath the sheet so the springs didn’t dig in too much. The bedroom walls got damp/wet (this could have been the air con or the rain water from the roof). Bedroom came with a big sliding wardrobe however it was struggle to fit 3 people’s luggage in.

Breakfast was disappointing. Not a lot to choose from at all sausage, bacon (if there was any left) and scrambled egg, sometimes they would put beans instead of scrambled egg. Despite having breakfast included we ate at other places and it was better quality and more for your money. There is a cafe at the end of the road that does basic meals and a better breakfast. The cafe does get boring after a week and the breakfast in the old town is really good however it’s the cost of transport.

Location was the biggest downfall for this hotel and probably the reason we wouldn’t be coming back to Portugal again. There is only a small cafe and a supermarket 10 minutes away from the hotel and that is it (literally)! The hotel did put a shuttle bus to the old town of albuferia for €2 per person each way that left at 10:30 and arrived back at 15:30. However this wasn’t really practical as we needed to pay more money for a taxi to go and get our evening meal in town. A taxi from
the hotel to surrounding areas cost €22. We spent around €500 for the 3 of us on transportation and we only went to the old town. We did book a tour that cost €20 each to go to the shopping mall, this was good however we only went so we go buy clothes as it was raining nearly every day. We did order takeaway pizza some nights as it was costing too much money for taxi’s.

The hotel did have entertainment on one night, this was good fun and a laugh, however it was packed with people and no seats left so not sure what they will do in peak season as this was early April when we stayed.

Overall a really disappointing stay and couldn’t wait to get home!!
