Recently stayed in an area of albufeira called forte Sao Joao.
One night the wife suggested we try a place called a concha that we walked past several times a day. The place was on the main road and stood out with he fact that the signage was in Portuguese and English. When we entered we got a great welcome from the staff and indeed the owners. It's not everywhere that a couple with their 2 young children(1 and3) get souch a warm welcome but we did here. They had a kids menu, the novel high chairs and even a toy for the kids to play with. The kids had the usual basics that you would get at home, I had a mixed kebab that came out on a huge skewer and it was delicious and the wife had piri piri chicken that had one ofte best chargrilled flavours I had ever tasted. The house wine was only 6 euros too so we had it despite a great wine list. With the wine, dinners, deserts and drinks all came to only 41 euros which was great value. Going back there on our last night again. Definitely worth a visit
