Stayed for one week and absolutely thrilled with large comfy apartment. We did ask for high floor with view of pool bit got first floor overlooking roads and back of supermarket next door! There were two large groups of men at the end of our holiday but they were having fun and not interfering with anybody else. Hotel is very very clean. We went half board and did find the evening buffet main courses a bit bland and samey! First visit to Portugal and we will definitely return but Albufeira is very popular with stag and hen dos so some places were no go areas as far as we were concerned so we will look for a resort which doesn’t attract large parties of noisy, drunk Brits. One of the men on Reception is very aggressive but girls are very sweet. All in all a good experience for our first trip to the country.

Room tip: Try for pool view. Didn’t work for us!

This time I went with a friend rather than my husband
We had a self catering apartment on the street level looking over the pool no. 016. Very pleased with the room, very clean and tidied and cleaned every day with fresh towels. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but did have an amazing club sandwich at the pool cafe. It doesn’t appear to open until 10 and closes by 5...pity. There is a bar but we didn’t use it. We had read reviews on trip advisor and a lot said that the reception staff were rude especially Lucia?! We did not find that, the ladies were all very nice and friendly maybe one of the guys was a bit abrupt. Never swam in the pool, looked clean but was freezing! I personally prefer to swim in the Atlantic! Which was warmer and only 20 minutes away.
Overall the hotel Brisa sol was a good choice. Very central with the old town and new town not far away. The mini train (€5 for hop on and off all day) was right outside the hotel . It stops 4 times...to both new town (the strip) and old town. Very handy

The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped with everything you would need. Cleaned every day and towels changed every day. Spotless. The only negative was the bedroom at the font on the first floor was a bit noisy with road traffic. Bathrooms modern and clean. Pool area was lovely and very clean. Plenty of sun beds and pool bar great.
The apartments are a 15 walk from the old town and downhill. If you don't want to walk back up a taxi is only €3.80. There is a little train that runs from the apartments to the town every 20 mins from about 9.30am to about 9pm. For a full days fare for seniors it is €4 which allows you to hop on and off from any of the 4 stops. Really good value.
If you are self catering there is a good supermarket almost next door and another across the road. There is also McDonalds, Chinese and Indian takeaways across the road. Also next door is a wonderful cake shop with a huge choice. You can eat in with a coffee or take away.
All the staff we had contact with were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were brilliant

Room tip: Ask for a pool view on the upper floors

Location......hotel is situated about 10-15 minute walk from old town and beach....downhill so obviously uphill return though plenty of transport options if you don't fancy the walk....lovely cake shop next door...delicious!! Plus macdonalds/kfc/chinese/Indian straight across the road for any foodies!!!!! Supermarket very close for all essentials...
Hotel.....room a bit tired but clean and bathroom had been refurbed...balcony not great if you are at back unless you love view of car park....Pool area excellent...plenty of seats though pool really chilly.....need to pay for wifi €10 for a week...tv good with English bbc/itv/sky news...
Food and Service......food at night very samey....predictable narrow choice but all very edible.....bar cafe excellent lovely snack menu...I dare you to order the club sandwich...and finish.....man versus food!!!!
All our encounters with any of the hotel team was good...pleasant and engaging...no issues....room cleaned to standard daily and nothing too much trouble for anyone...

Overall a good hotel, in a good location with good team , only issue are the rooms need upgraded.....
Enjoy!!!!!
