Stayed in this hotel, for a short break (3 nights), in a twin room for single occupancy. The room did not have a balcony but was large, clean and very comfortable although the window situated below a walkway above meant the room wasn't particularly bright.
The hotel was quieter than I expected at this time of year, but the staff were friendly and almost all amenities were available. I stayed on a half board basis and the meals, breakfast and dinner, were fine if not spectacular.
At this time of year when it's dark early and the weather is not always great, some form of entertainment in the hotel would be appreciated.
The price for half board was very reasonable and certainly good value for money although the hotel bar was pricey'
The location is good and this hotel is certainly worth considering if staying in Albufiera.

Room Tip: Rooms to the side are quiet but this may not be the same in high season. If a single traveller, when...

We spent a week in January at this aparthotel which I can say I've never had better accommodation.
We had a studio apartment (for 2) which was spotless and cleaned every day, with balcony, all the staff were very polite and helpful even helping with a small problem we had with our suitcase on our departure day. The hotel even has a "weigh your cases before you go to the airport facility".
The restaurant serves really good foods, from breakfast to evening meals, just make sure your hungry, the food is big, and this is not a bad thing.
The hotel has a small shop selling water, juice, newspapers etc; there are also great indoor facilities including a pool, crazy golf, pool table and gaming machines, not to mention internet connection and free Wi-Fi.
There is also a great supermarket right next door, open until 22:00hrs every day which is great when you have an apartment.
As Arnie says “I’ll be back”

Room Tip: Pool view apartments have most of the sun all day.

Our first time in Portugal and decided to go for a Sol hotel as they tend to be pretty good in Spain. The Brisa Sol is excellent, apartment superb with everything you require to enjoy a self catering holiday. Hotel reception staff were brill, always willing to help whatever the problem. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and the old town is within 15 minutes. An escalator is provided to get you from/to the bottom square from/to the upper level. Easy downhill but can be a slog coming back. Still good though plenty to do in the evening, lots of eateries, bars and local entertainment. Worth catching the mini-train on arrival and going for a town circuit to get your bearings. Train stop outside hotel. Worth looking at local travel agents for day tours as hotel bookings can be expensive. Must recommend small internet café directly opposite the hotel. Ended up there most nights after our visit to the town. Wind down with an espresso and watch the world go by. Great holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor tend to be noisier.

We stayed here in a group of 5 aged between 5yrs - 80years and the hotel suited us all!
In a good location, not too far from shops, bars etc and within walking distance of the beach too although it is a bit of a trek. We tended to get the mini train from outside the hotel to the strip and old town due to our group, but had we been alone as a couple then we would easily have walked everywhere.
We stayed bed and breakfast and selection was good, always the same but that doesn't mean you have to choose the same thing every day. Good choice of bread and local cereals as well as croissants, and hot food like eggs, sausage, beans etc.
Rooms were spacious and very clean.Nice big balcony and great having a kettle and toaster if we wanted it. Indoor pool area was like a bath and was so handy as we had very bad weather!
Unfortunately the weather was awful the whole week and we had a lot of rain so could not use the outdoor pool or tennis courts but they looked to be in great condition.
I would return to the Algarve and stay here but probably in June or Sept when the weather would be warmer but not too hot.

Room Tip: You must try a cake from the Riviera Coffee shop downstairs, they are fantastic!

This is our second year returning to Brisa Sol, we had the ground floor room overlooking the pool, the room was clean, there was 2 single beds (a double would have been nicer) a kitchen, with sink, 2 ring cooker, fridge, toaster, microwave and crockery and cutlery (even had 2 bottle openers), the rooms are cleaned every day and towels changed, would have been nice to have sheets changed over the 9 days we were there as when you are travelling with a toddler things get dirty very easily, there is a cakeshop next door called Riviera, you must try it, there cakes are very nice and reasonable, you can also get takeaway if you find it too noisy or busy.

There is a lovely pool but too cold when we arrived so made use of the indoor heated pool. There is also a games room for the kids, which has mini golf, air hockey and game machines (all needing euros to play) a soft play area for toddlers would have been nice.

McDonalds and KFC are across the road and the supermarket is next door to the hotel which is very handy when you are carrying 5L bottles of water.

A walk to the beach, restaurants, shops takes approximately 15 minutes and the Tourist Train stops outside the hotel, the schedule is every 20 minutes or so, it is 2.00 euros single or 3.50 euros day ticket, which is great value.

We went B&B and the breakfast is very nice, you have sausages, bacon, mushrooms, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, tomatoes and baked beans, the fruit varied everyday, fresh fruit salad, sliced mango, melon, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, cheese and meats, fresh bread/rolls, fruit juices, sparkling water, still water, tea/coffee, yogurts.

We had stayed half board the last time and the evening meal was a buffet which was ok but after New Year the menu changed to set menu which wasnt as nice. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from so going B&B suited us.

The only thing was that they didnt have any entertainment which would have been nice while having a drink at the bar.

Room Tip: It is better to pay extra and get a pool view room otherwise your room overlooks the carpark

Yet again another fantastic week stay at the Brisa Sol. For 10 years i have been coming to Albufeira for many reasons one is i love the place and two i have a friend who is a dj in one of the Bars on the strip. As always the staff in the hotel are only too happy to help with an issue you may have.
See you soon as i have booked again for October.

Room Tip: Always Pool/Seaview is the best rooms to have.
