Booked a late deal mid October just to get a bit of sun before winter sets in, First time visit to albufeira. Not knowing resort or area we took a punt of a suprisingly cheap deal we found online and decided to pay a little extra for a 1 bed apartment with sea views - really glad we did. genuinely inpressed with the rooms and the view was perfect. Okay the rooms are very dated and more than a little tired, and the kitchen had only the very basic(and old school appliances) not such a great problem as most people eat out at one of the hundred excellent restaurants and bars in the old town. This is probably the biggest plus for this hotel is the location - Literally a ten minute walk down into the old town. With the brilliant escalators to take you down to beach level.
The pool area is well serviced and clean, we were very lucky as our week had an unseaonal heatwave of clear blue skys and 28-29 deg temp - something we hadn't planned or packed for.
The pool area was never too busy and you could always get a lounger and go for a swim - sometimes being the only one there, again great views from the pool area.
The staff were excellent and always polite and very helpful. One tip though - take your own travel kettle - better than boiling water in a pot on the stove.
Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again especially slightly off season when things are a little quieter and good deals can be had.

Room Tip: Most room do actually have some aspect of sea view - but pay the extra for rooms 2nd floor up and overlooking the pool area. Sit on your balcony and watch the sun set.

We booked last minute for my husbands birthday and got a really good deal so did'nt really know what to expect but we where really pleased we picked to stay here. Its a basic but clean hotel and only a five minute walk to the old town which had plenty of restaurants to eat out at good prices. We would stay here again.

Room 004 is below ground floor and we found it to be a bit dirty but liveable.Very noisy if people coming in late as you can hear everything even from reception.Nice reception staff though very helpful. No hair dryers in rooms.kitchens basic but enough.microwave not a cooker.fantastic location.good hotel for somewhere to sleep but amenities very limited .

Room Tip: Don't get a studio pay the extra n get bedroom n sea view

Stayed here for ten nights with my partner. Arrived to the appartment about 9 in the morning room was not ready until 2 ish but that was fine we had a chance to explore the place! The appartment itself is very spacious, beautiful view of the sea it was amazing make sure to request it!the kitchen has everything you need.Had a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, utility/storage and another small room with nothing in it we used it for storing luggage! Has a big sitting area along with kitchen.

Rooms were cleaned EVERYDAY!This was great! Clean towels, sheets no problem! Very clean place overall!

Ignore reviews about pool being quiet, we swam in the pool alot and it always seemed to have a few around the pool. Pool was normal temp as i had seen previous reviews about the pool being "cold" but isint that the purpose of the pool?! who would want a warm pool on a hot day but whatever!

Staff were ok normal. Pool side snack bar ok also but handy. Nobody ever used the bar which made the place awful quiet at night but we used head to the old or new town...Safes were in rooms do not like this as it would be safer to have them in reception. Old town is a short walk away the beach is fab and nightlife is great!. You can get a train to the new town up the road near the hotel brisa sol. Would recommend the mexican restaurant and the chinese in the old town. There is a huge supermarket up the road from the hotel near the brisa sol hotel has everyting you need! Mc donalds and KFC 5 mins away also.

Overall had a great hol but would prefer a complex a a little bit busier next time. Albuferia is one of the best destinations i have ever been! This hotel is one of the few closest to the old town so i would defo recommend to anyone who likes to be in the center and also who likes to get a nice quiet sleep!:)

Room Tip: Ask for sea/pool views

we stayed here because of location to oldtown, apartments have great character, very spacious and amazing sea and old town views.all one bed apartments have either full or side sea views. we had side sea view and it was amazing. approx 7 minutes walk to the escalators which bring you to the beach and oldtown. i would not recommend these apts to families as there are no entertainment facilities or proper bar or snackbar facilities. they are purely for accomadation purposes only, which suited our needs. the reception staff were very friendly. the higher the floor the better the view, four floors in total. only major drawback was no air con.
