Good hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms and comfy beds with good linen and towels. Close to old square. Good variety of food. Enjoyed spa treatment in hotel and there is also use of jaccuzzi, steam room and sauna for free. Beautiful views over bay.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel from the 15th to 25th October. First off, we paid a little extra to get the sea-view room as advised by many others on trip advisor. The man at the reception called, Carlos handed us our room key to one of the first floor rooms. The view was AWFUL! Instead of having a sea-view room, we could barely see the beach as it was covered by an emergency escape exit.

However, I immediately went down to the reception and asked to be changed rooms after all we did pay extra for that amazing view everyone has mentioned. Carlos explained that nothing could be done tonight and to come back and see him in the morning and hopefully he would have something sorted. 10am the next morning we went back down to reception and to our delight he had changed us to room 220. Which by the way has a WONDERFUL view of the beach/sea. Absolutely gorgeous with a private balcony. The service in this hotel especially by Carlos is excellent!

The hotel really is in a perfect location you have the old town at the back of the hotel, and the beach at the front (from our balcony). Another thing worth noting is that all the restaurants in the old town our delicious, especially Shalom II - their ribs are to die for!

In the hotel, the breakfast included is substantial. It is a continental breakfast - so if you aren't a fussy eater unlike me and my partner you will be pleasantly surprised as there is plenty to choose from and they are constantly putting out food all morning. Breakfast is from 8-10am and even at 9.45am which was the main time we went down for breakfast at, there was still plenty to eat.

Overall, I was very happy with our stay in Hotel Rocamar and I definitely would return. However, maybe the last few weeks in October isn't the best time to stay as it was raining most of the holiday - however there was a few nice days in between. However other members of the reception, there was a lady working and I found her very unhelpful she just seemed like she didn't want to be there as when you asked her anything she was very vague and dull. She did not want to help at all. However, this did not affect our trip at all and we still enjoyed every minute off it. In the end we ended up with a fantastic room, outstanding view and the cleaners came every day to clean the room, change the towels etc. This hotel should be 4* as it is fantastic!

Room Tip: Try and get a 3rd or 4th sea-view room, definitely worth paying a little extra!

Arrived on October 19th for our 2nd consecutive October break. We had booked a sea view room and also requested similar room to 516 which has superb views over the beach and old town. We were allocated room 520 which also had fabulous views and having mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary whilst staying it was great to find a bottle of bubbly in the room when we checked in. Thank you Hugo. I appreciate your efforts especially as the hotel was full.
I found all the staff friendly and helpful including the bar staff. Special mention to the cleaning ladies who were excellent. Breakfasts were good and no problem with availability.
The location is perfect with the beach down the elevator and a short walk into the old town.
Great holiday.

Room Tip: Definitely go for a sea view.

Arrived on oct 19th and stayed in seaview room 430 for 4 nights and it was perfect with a stunning seaview.Rooms were cleaned every day. Booked B+B and there was plently of hot and cold food to choose from and it was very nice. The only negative was the pool was small, but the beach compensated for that. Plently to do and see in the lovely old town, I would recommend The Atrium restaurant and the beach basket as they did superb set menu very reasonably priced. Special thank you to the rocamar manager Hugo, who was very helpful to us during our short stay, we had a lovely break at rocamar and would highly recommend for couples.

Room Tip: 430 has a beautiful view at the end of beach

stayed for 7 days october 2012. paid extra for seaview but room we were given 220 only has seaview if you stand on one leg on balcony with head at 70% degree angle and has great view of fire escape.
admittedly they changed our room the following day when we asked for a change but not really the point of paying extra.
fabulous location for hotel as close to main square but far enough away to be peaceful .Breakfast good, lots of choice but make sure you get there early or may run out, very limited choice for evening mealf and bar prices much too high. On plus side Staff were all wonderful and hotel spotlessly clean

Room Tip: dont accept 220 as a seaview room
