it is really doesn't matter if hotel has 1 or 3 stars. the basics still should be there.
we checked in on 15th of November. on front receptionist asked us for passports and took 10Euro deposit for room key. She also added that all rooms are the same.(she probably must knew that we will return to her soon). We were allocated in room D123 and I must say
i was shocked. the bathroom was dirty, dirty towels and toilet as well, spider nets everywhere. the blankets which we supposed to use were smell urine. We came back to reception and we asked for another room. Receptionist refused on the beginning, claiming that hotel is full. After few minutes she "found" another room for us, "better room".
they gave us room B212, just above some kind of storage with very noisy machinery which was running 24/7. The bathroom was better however you mus see that on your on eyes(pictures attached). whole experience was quite upsetting and spoiled a 5days stay in Albufeira. We spent over £400 to get there. We booked by Thomas Cook and I am very surprise that such a huge agent offering accommodation in so poor standard. Me and my partner decided ,we will never stay in Auramar hotel again and we never again will use a Thomas cook as well.More
