this is a great little restaurant with indoor or out door eating areas ,Francisco is a really jovial chap who makes fun at most things" hot beer" only served in his restaurant ,the food is of good quality especially the sea bream, all meals are served with boiled potatoes or chips and veg of the day or salad ,the menu is extensive to suit all tastes.
Cececilia comes out and makes sure Francisco is not chatting up all the women and makes the restaurant tick . a great place to enjoy a laid back evening of good food and hosting.

Owner very friendly, the food was good as was the service, it was also at a reasonable price and they did not overcharge for the wine like some places

Francisco, the owner, runs a great restaurant but was equally happy for us just to drop in for a drink. Ask for the "hot beer" and you won't be disappointed! Good wine too. As we were staying next door in Villa Victoria (also great) we went in a lot and always got a warm welcome and a delicious meal. Everything we tried was lovely, including kebabs, fish courses and the chicken piri piri, which has a properly hot sauce.....and that's another story. When we said we liked chillies, Francisco took us to his nephew's tapas restaurant at lunchtime for some seriously hot stuff! It was fab. Can't recommend Blue Sky enough. Cecilia, the waitress, is lovely too.

You can walk up and down the entire length of 'The Strip' in search of somewhere you'd really want to eat. We tried a few places which showed promise but were for various reasons unable to deliver.

Luckily for us, our accommodation was next door to Blue Sky, about a minute's stroll from The Strip. There's no big TV screen. No loud music. No sticky cocktails or laser light show. No Full English.

Instead you'll find a genuinely warm welcome from Francisco and Cecilia, a menu of mainly Portuguese dishes which are well prepared and served with pride. Over the course of a ten day holiday we ate there five times. We ate other meals in other places, but didn't find one that we'd want to revisit.

Fresh fish, grilled with fresh vegetables and boiled potatoes; giant kebab skewers served dangling above flaming brandy; perfectly cooked chicken with the best piri piri sauce - a great mixture of good cooking, good front-of-house and a compelling atmosphere.

Thanks, Blue Sky, for helping make our holiday special. Now - back to my work as a chef in an English country pub....

We ate here on the second to last night of our holiday - wished we had come on the last night too after having a bad meal in the Old Town! The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The food here is so reasonable, it was the cheapest meal of the holiday and by far the best! My friends were blown away by the chicken kebab and I had hake fillets. The service is fantastic, very friendly and attentive. If you are going to eat out around the strip, definitely visit the Blue Sky (located on a side road just off the main strip).
