Description: As a family run business, Wander Inn is a beautifully quaint modern British restaurant situated just off the main strip in Albufeira. We take pride in our food and believe in fresh and quality ingredients but at reasonable prices. Our service is professional and friendly and it important to us to get to know our customers so we can provide a more personal service.

I visited here on the recommendation of a fellow traveller who said it was the best fish & chips he'd had in Albufeira. I just had a burger and chips, and although the chips could have been better (I prefer chunkier home made chips) the burger was juicy without being drenched in oil. The beer was really cheap in the 'happy hour' but the most positive thing was the personal touch. Saul and Sam have a really nice attitude and really appreciate their customers, and are always chatting away when the place is quiet (as it was in the closed season while I was there). I can only imagine the poor reviews are one-offs, as Saul really cares about his cooking and has been in the food business a while, but they may make mistakes as they haven't been established that long. I hope to return next year to see a really successful place.

This restaurant is not on The Strip and could easily be missed which is a shame as it is a really good place to eat. The food is well cooked and piping hot and is very plentiful. The food quality is good too so please find it by walking down The Strip and turn left at the first roundabout and keep walking and it is on your left. Good eating!!!

My partner and I visited this lovely restaurant late September/early October and were in for a treat. Immediately we were greeted by friendly staff, who took time out to speak to us, not just take our food order. The food is predominantly British fare and was certainly home-cooked, accompanied by a lovely jug of freshly made sangria and a delightful dessert. In a short space of time we learnt the owners had only been in residence a short space of time, but they had already added many personal touches and their enthusiasm to please guests was certainly evident.

Before we left we called in to see the owners to thank them for looking after us and they were so keen to hear our feedback they shared a drink with us, not what we were expecting, but despite being busy they made time to talk to us and all the guests.

All the very best Wander Inn with your new venture, you deserve all the success you work so hard for. I would recommend this restaurant to couples, groups and families, having also witnessed the help extended to a family where two members had wheelchairs.

We hope to see you again, thank you for our warm Portugese welcome

In our two week stay in Praia do Oura Albufeira six of us ate at the Wander Inn most day’s for breakfast and evening meals and none of us were disappointed with any of the meals, for me personally the steak with peppercorn sauce was to die for as was the cheese cake for desert and it was nice to have fresh veg rather than frozen, and don’t forget to try the new “Wander burger“, the perfect hosts Sam and Saul have now taken on extra staff as they are getting busier every day, as you will find out in the strip that 90% of the bars and restaurants have disgusting toilets (men’s & women’s)with no locks on the doors but at the Wander Inn they are spotless.

Once again thank you Saul and Sam (and George) for looking after us and we look forward to meeting you again.
