We ate here twice in the week because we were so impressed on our first visit at the start of the week. We chose the meat Cataplana for two and were not disappointed in any way! Beautiful beef, melt in the mouth was complimented by the salty taste of the clams in abundance. It was a meal for two to share but we had to take a doggy bag home and have the leftovers for lunch the next day! It could have easily fed four people. The service was very good and all of the staff friendly and happy to chat. On our second visit we experienced the same excellent service and friendly atmosphere. I had the Portuguese steak which was absolutely delicious. The gravy was lovely and the sirloin steak top quality. My husband had the pork kebab and was certainly not disappointed in any way either with the portion size or quality. This place doesn't look much from the outside but is definitely well worth a visit and I would highly recommend it both for quality and value for money.

This was the best place we ate at in Albufeira. It isn't impressive looking and we'd probably have walked past it if their staff hadn't approached us in the street. We were warned before we went in that you usually have to wait a while but we weren't starving or in a rush so we weren't that bothered by waiting an hour. The second time we went a bit earlier though and the food was out within half an hour. The food was really good. The first time I got the paella and my boyfriend got the cataplana for one and the second time we got the cataplana for two and it was excellent. The staff were nice and friendly too.

My partner and I stumbled upon this place on the first day of our holiday, which was a great piece of luck as it was a halal restaurant!
The food was amazing and such good value. We ended up eating there everyday, sometimes twice! The best dishes were peri peri chicken, lamb tagine and the Portuguese steak!!! We still think about how good that steak was! The best thing about this place was the family that run it! Such lovely people really made us feel at home! Asma is a wonderful women with two great kids. We hope to visit again soon!! Lots of love Anisa xxx

I visited this restaurant with my husband on the last night of our stay in Albufeira. Although the staff were friendly, the food took a long time to come out. My husband had the Garlic Bread for starters which didn't taste like it had garlic at all but tasted salty instead. I had the Garlic Prawns which was about 8.50 Euros and again didn't taste like it had garlic in but tasted very lemony. For the mains I had the Lamb Tagine with Rice (I've never had Morrocan food before so I don't know what it's supposed to taste like) but I won't be having it again if it tastes like that all the time! The sauce was watery and it it just tasted like they had thrown in alot of ground black pepper. The actual piece of lamb was quite big and tender and they had just stuck alot of boiled vegetables on top with no flavouring, it didn't warrant the price of around 22 Euros. My husband had the Vegetarian Lasagne which had no sauce, no flavouring and no salt, just alot of boiled vegetables layered with lasagne sheets and cheese on top.

The restaurant is not that big and it looked as though there were too many tables inside for the amount of space, the tables next to the doors which seated 4 people kept getting the chair banged by the door and people had to squeeze through to get past.

We were very disappointed as it was our last night and the food was very expensive and was not worth it at all, we left most of the food on the plate and they even took along time with the bill even though we asked twice, they kept saying they were still writing it so in the end my husband had to tell them that we can't wait anymore as we had a taxi booked.
