“Perfect place to stay!”

Stayed at the villa for my sisters hen party. It was the perfect location, so close to the strip (less than a minute walk) and to the beach (about 5 min walk) but just set back from the strip so that it wasn't noisy at night at all. Having a private pool was really lovely and the open plan kitchen/dining area was great for the whole group to hang out in. There are plenty of bathrooms so there wasn't any ques for the shower! The only negative comment I would have is that the only mirrors are in the bathrooms, it would be good to have them in the rooms and to have a full length one somewhere, would help out with everyone getting ready at the same time. Patrick was really helpful with the booking and organised our transfers would definitely stay there again and recommend others too as well.

“Another Week in Paradise”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This was our second visit to Villa Century , in consecutive years, and once again we were not disappointed. A large clean villa with its own secluded pool (it is overlooked by a block of apartments but as a group of guys this didn't bother us) and a BBQ that was well used.
Handy for the Strip, and a reasonable walk to the Old Town, it had the best of both worlds.
There were a few areas where improvements could be made but these were only superficial and didn't detract from the quality of the holiday.

“A little disappointing.......but issues could be easily resolved.”

I have to agree wholeheartedly with PapavEngland's review. The owner was extremely helpful in handling the booking, in arranging airport transfers for our party and in allowing a late departure. All email correspondence was friendly and efficient.
We were a little disappointed with the villa though as it was indeed a little tired looking - although nothing that couldn't be easily rectified. Negative points were a lack of light bulbs in the master bedroom and ensuite, a broken window catch, a dish washer that didn't appear to release the dish washing tablets and shutters to the lounge that were difficult to close and secure when leaving the property. In the annex the master shower was cold with poor flow, there was a limited number of pillows and some of the towels were frayed.
We also never managed to establish where the boat was despite asking! None of these issues spoilt our holiday and we chose not to address them at the time as we were only there for a week, but I feel if we were staying for longer these little niggles would have been more annoying.
On a positive note the pool was lovely, with 2 wide steps at the shallow end and a 2 metre deep end which suited the different age levels of our party. Note though that the surrounding tiles are very slippery when wet, so if you have young children a pair of crocs or similar are essential. The location was ideal for walking to the two local beaches and something that was not mentioned (and made this holiday very exciting for our grandson) was the fact that the land train passes by the villa on a regular basis!
All in all spending a day to resolve these minor issues would pay dividends.

“Friendly Welcome”

We traveled here from Manchester for a family get together to celebrate joint 'big' birthdays. The owners sorted out all the transfers from hotel to villa and back ensuring we had a stress free journey.
We were met at the villa by the local agent who showed us around explaining how things worked and which shops to go to, also which direction everything was. If a local map was provided it would have been additionally helpful.
The villa was tired looking and could have done with a good make over. Whilst suitable for hen or stag parties on short weekend jaunts a longer stay uncovered some basic faults which a bit of TLC and a good handy person could have fixed (such as draws that do not close/open). However when we reported any problems they were promptly attended to and rectified. The mattresses were extremely firm even for the more hardy among us, which initially led to one or two sleepless nights, but as with anything else you eventually get used to them. A big plus point is that there is plenty of hot water and the kitchen equipment was adequate to cook and feed 8+ people at a time.
Negative points were that there was no advertised log fire, the satellite TV was dire with very limited channels, the DVD on the (V old) TV did not work and after hunting high and low no CD player could be found.
Positive points, all the facilities worked well, the BBQ was tremendous, the pool was nice, the location was central and secure (although overlooked on one side by flats) and the space did not feel cramped. The service provided by the owner and their agent/s was friendly and efficient.
Overall (and in its present condition) I would recommend this property for a group requiring a short break. With a little TLC and proactive repairs this would be good accommodation for longer family holidays.

“Caters for all”
Reviewed November 13, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

The Villa has everything you would need and caters for all. With two children, they enjoyed the pool very much in particular. The Villa is very spacious so there was lots of room for them to run around. I felt safe knowing that it had a surrounding gate, which could be locked if required. We enjoyed the barbeque a few nights of our stay and there was table tennis and a full size pool table to keep the kids entertained.
The Villa itself is just 5 minutes from the main Strip with everything you need. 10 Minutes away is the Old Town so the location is ideal as it's pretty central to everything, including a beautiful beach.
It's a place we all really enjoyed and i would recommend it highly.

“Home Away From Home”

I stayed in Villa Century for 8 days. The group was 4 adults and 2 children, ages 7 and 9. The Villa itself was so relaxing, clean and spacious, everything you could need with a beautiful private swimming pool right outside, very clean and the perfect size. There was an adjoining apartment to the villa which was very nice, was great for some of the adults as you could be away from the kids waking early in the morning, so the main house is great for the parents and the kids.
The manager, Jimmy, was so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble, he had a welcome pack with tea, coffee and nibbles, just what you need after a tiring flight.

The Villa was only a 5 minute walk from The Strip, which is great for shopping, and filled with cafes and restaurants and in the evening, the nightlife that has a great party atmosphere or other little places if you prefer a quiet drink.

The Old Town is only about 10 mins away in a taxi, costing only 5 Euro, very cheap. The Old Town is very beautiful, with more shopping and restaurants and very pretty sites to see, and the beach right there too.

You could never be bored the there with all the activities, like cave and dolphin tours, parasailing, jet boats, fishing trip, segways, etc., the list is endless and the prices are so cheap.

Albufeira is amazing, and Villa Century is like home away from home. I would definitely go back there and would recommend it to everyone, of all age groups. Thank you.

“Lads Break in Portugal”
Reviewed June 12, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Myself and 3 friends stayed for a week at the Villa Century in May and enjoyed the stay that much that we are planning on going back next year. The villa was spacious, clean and in a great location. The pool was clean and refreshing and we used the BBQ on 3 days out of 7. A short walk takes you to a Portuguese supermarket where you can stock up on necessities. The famous "strip" is just 5 minutes away and I would say the "old town" is just a 20 minute walk away. The villa is in a quiet neighbourhood apart from a dog that can get a bit noisy during the day.
