“lovely hotel”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

We stayed at palmeiras for 1 week from the 22nd to the 29th of May we had a pool view studio on the second floor it was quite a large room with beautiful modern furniture and flat screen t.v.
The kitchen had every thing you needed for a self catering holiday including a dishwasher and full oven. The cleaners came every other day and changed our bed mid week (unusual for a week stay in most hotels). We had clean towels every other day and that extra little touch of mini shower gel and soaps. The whole garden and pool area was absolutly superb.Their was a small play area for children and quite a nice little snack and pool bar. Security was excellent.
I would go back again and highly recomend these apartments.

Room Tip: pool view rooms have the nicest view

My wife and I returned to Albuferia (where we got married last year!!) and had a lovely short break, staying in Palmeiras de Santa Eulalia. The accommodation was extremely clean and spacious, which was a pleasant suprise!!

On arrival, we were greeted by the high green fence that surrounds the complex which at first sight, seemed a bit odd but don't judge a book by it's cover and all that!! Once inside we were greeted in Reception, quickly checked in (an hour before we were supposed to be!!).

We dropped our bags off and walked into the Old Town, a beautiful area with a lovely selection of bars and restaurtants. It took us around 40 minutes to stroll along, taking picturse of the scenery, and after some food and drink we got a taxi back which cost 5-6 euros.

There are some lovely restaurants just a 2 minute walk away, and the sports bar at the end of the road is ideal, cold pints just 1.50 euros (2.00 after 6pm) and 'The Strip' is a 5 minute walk away, more lively but I prefer the Old Town!

The pool at Palmeiras de Santa Eulalia is quite small, and I noticed that people would leave a towel out all day even if they only sat in the sun for an hour! Not to worry though, a lovely beach is just 5-8 minutes walk away where you don't get this problem!! This should not reflect againts the hotel though, its not thier fault!!

Didn't use the snack bar near the pool and the swim up bar looked great, but wasn't in use for some reason?!!

The room itself was huge, a kitchen with all the appliances and big bathroom. Overall I would definately recommend staying here, I would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Preferably with a double bed?!! We had the annoying twin room situation going on but only a minor fa...

We have just stayed for a week. End of May till June 6th. The apartment was brilliant. Loads of space. The facilities were good. They have books in reception to read for free. I left my 3 books I had read for others to read. Close to bars & restaurants, the happy house Chinese buffet was really good value at €10 per person. We went twice. The only annoying thing was that people would leave their towels on the sun loungers for hours while not at the pool area and then come back just to remove them. Very annoying and not very thoughtful. That was the only negative and not the hotels fault. The old town was lovely, the bars around the old square were fab for chilling with a beer and people watching. All in all, had a lovely time and would go back :)

Visited 28th May to 4th June 2013.

Booked two rooms (one for myself & Wife, and one for Daughter & 2 Grand-daughters).
would have liked adjoining rooms, but this could not be done - maybe a good thing :)

Living/bedroom - clean and bright. Plenty of space for two adults.
Pillows were to soft/small, but reception arranged for some more. Beds are hard, but I like that.
Kitchen - well fitted out. No dishcloths - but there was a dishwasher. Large fridge/freezer.
Bathroom - plenty big enough, light & airy. Shower over bath arrangement.

There are several English speaking TV channels (BBC Midlands - a couple of movie channels, Discovery), so enough for late night quiet time.
Rooms do not have Hairdryers, but ask at reception and they can provide a loan.
Rooms were cleaned 3 times in the week when we were there. Strangely the day before we left :s
Pool - Large enough when we were there, but I imagine it could get crowded if the complex was fully booked. It was cold (at first) but you soon get uused to it and it was quite refreshing.
Poolside - This was the only poor point. People would leave towels and disappear for hours, then come back, pick up their towels and go. Very irritating. A policy of removing towels from unused sunloungers would be good, (but I accept, difficult to enforce). Small snackbar/cafe.
Reception - Very helpful staff. sometimes difficult to find someone there, but when you found them they were very helpful.
Sometimes a little noisy from the seagulls, but hey, you're at the seaside.

Local amenities.
Supermarket - out of the gate, up to the road, turn right 50 mtrs. very convenient.
Restaraunts - Up to main road, left or right loads of choice.
Nightlife - You have to go to "The Strip", but this was only 10-15 mins away.

All in all, very pleased.

The Palmeiras de Santa Eulalia is a new large apartments and town houses. The accomadation is spacious, well decorated and beautifully clean. They had soap & shower gel in the bathrooms, plenty of toilet paper. They supplied every accessory one could need in the kitchen. The bedrooms had air-con, change of bed linnen and even dutets. We had not booked one but got upgraded to a house, it was massive, 2 bed (huge rooms), toliet downstairs and 2 bathroom upstaire-one with a bath, one a shower. There were 2 balconies. There was no noise apart form occasional nearbye chickens!
The reception area is nice with loads of books to borrow. The staff Elena and Philomena were wonderful, friendly and helpful. They called up a taxi when we wanted to go to Old town, its costs on average E5.50.They also helped us arrange our airport transfer, it is about 35 mins from airport, we used a transfer company but a taxi would probably not cost too much.
The pool was a good size with enough sunbed for the people there (end of May) but there is no kids pool. The snack bar was closed for most of our stay but opened on one of our last days. There is a small play area too.
The location is off a pretty quiet street but saying that there are plenty of restaraunts and a few bars on it and the city bus and sightseeing bus stop. There is a big supermarket too, very good value. The strip and beach are a 10-15 min walk. We used the facilites in the Ouraparia hotel down the road, they have a kids pool and evening entertainmeny, I can also recommend the cheap and cheerful Happy House Chinese.
The only negative for me was it was a bit quiet, no kids pool, there were no other kids staying for my kids to play with and it didn't have the facilites like bar and restaurant, entertainment we usally get. All that aside I would 100% recomment it and I will definatly return one day.

Room Tip: Ask for a house if you need the space. There is only one block of apartments over looking the pool.

My family & I stayed here for a week in May. We stayed in a "quad" room. Really spacious kitchen & living room, bedrooms upstairs also huge. Place was spotless, regular cleaning service. Philomena & Elena are the 2 girls in reception, they were very pleasant & accomodating, a wealth of information. Nice & quiet, about 10 mins walk to the Strip & beach. Had a lovely time.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel. Went for two weeks in July. Fantastic service, rooms are incredibly spacious. I suppose the best tribute I can pay it is that I'm going back this year!! Also great location... Few minutes from strip, bars and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk. Great hotel.
