Very thin walls between rooms therefore noise levels were bad! Orange juice at breakfast was diluted orange squash, this from a country where they are selling oranges at the roadside. Good location as it was just a couple of streets away from the noise of traffic. I did have a complaint which I spoke to the Manager about but it was not one which could be resolved immediately; it was a complaint about a large crack in the balcony glass! Could have been dangerous to people walking underneath if knocked with the chair or table. It was known about so therefore I think it should have been sorted out before allocating that room to guests. When I was there, a large group of golfers were there, and they were rather noisy, even during the night, but I feel that the management could have spoken to them.

OK location to the beach, main strip and about 35mins walking distance to the old town. Service during our stay was very professional with a friendly smile. The rooms were of decent size however the balcony was a bit on the small size. The breakfast was good, but had to wait in line for toast & the hot drink machine which was wasn't so great. Our evening meals were OK, loads of choice but the vegetables were boiled to death and therefore bland. Which meant even thou we were on half-board package we decided to eat out two nights.

Just returned from a week in this hotel to celebrate our anniversary . Very modern, almost 'boutique' feel to it. We had e-mailed ahead and asked for a high floor room and they obliged along with a bottle of bubbly and chocolate fondue as a surprise, which was a lovely gesture. We had room 325 on the side sea view (there are four floors on this and the pool view side with three floors on the road side). We had the sun in the morning, it then moved round across the pool view rooms finishing off on the road side of the hotel. We had a kettle in the room but, as other travellers have mentioned, you need to get your own tea bags/coffee. Supermarket just around the corner so not a problem.

Pool area very nice with plenty of loungers although they are a bit cramped in around the pool area; just move a couple of beds out on to the grassed area to give yourself some space (I like my own space!!). Very quiet with no children and lovely, smooth jazz style background music playing from the pool bar. Definitely no boom, boom music here!!

We were not bothered by any noise whatsoever in our room and didn't experience the problems that others claim to have suffered.

We stayed bed & breakfast and found it OK to be honest; typical hot plates and continental (can confirm the OJ is very weak). We had lunch by the pool one day and it was lovely. The tuna salad looked good!

We had a few nice meals out; try Paulu's Italian (just past the big supermarket), a little further up the road (next door to the Holland Bar I think) is another lovely restaurant, we had a lovely piri piri chicken lunch and there were lots of locals eating in there (always a good sign). On the opposite side of the road opposite the supermarket is another great restaurant, it's down a slope next door to the Chinese Wok restaurant. Very good food in there also. If you want a little pre dinner tipple, the terrace of the Oura Praia hotel (think that's what it's called) is lovely. It's opposite the other Chinese on the road down towards The Strip, sit in the sun and sip a G&T, very nice.

Overall, a relaxing week in a lovely hotel; would recommend.

Room Tip: 3rd or 4th floor with side sea view is good. Quiet with early morning sun.

Just returned from a five night stay and loved it! Great location, staff friendly, grounds, rooms and bar dining areas all stunning. Found the roof terrace on last few days, fantastic views very quiet and relaxing. I did have an issue which was not a fault of the hotel, in which the manager of the hotel dealt with very professionally and sent lovely flowers to the room which was a kind gesture. Food - breakfast was busy, good selection of foods and hot & very nice, even though it is a small dining room, dinner the same, good choice not as busy as breakfast which was good and the soup amazing. Only downfall was the noise at night could hear tvs in other rooms and guests banging about etc but didnt bother us too much. Overall fab hotel, good value.

Room Tip: we had a room on the 3rd floor, 3 and 4 being the top floors, great view over to the sea and got sun...

We stayed for 3 nights and overall it was very good. We were impressed with how clean the hotel was with modern designs. It was very quiet throughout the day and night, never hearing any noise. It was quite formal though we felt & the people staying there were very dressed up throughout the day.

We requested early check-in and our room was ready when we arrived which was excellent. We were checked in by a very nice man, however the other reception staff were not very friendly or helpful which was disappointing.

The breakfast was ok. Quite a good range but the variety changed daily and on some occasions there was very little selection for me personally. There were times when I was waiting up to 5 mins for simple things like a glass of water, a spoon or a plate. It wasn't overly busy at that time so I don't know why there was such a delay.

It is located about 5 mins from the beach, 10 mins to the strip. 3km to Old Town.

I would recommend this hotel but if I was staying here again, I would stay on a room only basis.

Perfect hotel! can not fault anything. Stayed 4 nights in May 2013, hotel is really modern, has a very up market feel and one of the nicest places ive stayed abroad. Its in a quiet spot in albufeira, and is perfect for a retreat wether in a couple or with girls. Rooms are really spacious, mordern lines, flat screen TV (only BBC & SKY News in English), free safe and large wardrobe, mini bar, hairdryer, tea and coffee! (take your own tea bags though as you only get 2 a day ha) Balcony was a bit small but to be fair that did not bother us. We opted for brekkie, and it was ok but i have had better choices in other hotels, but you can eat as much as you want and take some teabags ha. Pool area is quite small and we stuggled to get a lounger in May, however beach is ten mins away and a much better option. All in all perfect hotel, and anyone will find it hard to not be impressed, the foyer, bar and resteraunt had a Radisson Edwardian feel, and the service is impeccable! 5 stars!!!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool or sea view or you may be facing road :-)

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it. The hotel itself was very clean and is well located. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with the staff very helpful. Breakfast is well balanced to get the day started and the layout of the bar and piano area is very elegant and inviting.

The room was clean and fairly staightforward. We noted that the bed(s) in the double room was two single beds pushed side by side, and that there was no coffee in the room despite there being a kettle supplied. Also we found the matresses quite hard, which made them a bit more difficult to sleep on. The main negative point we had was the smell of sewage from the bathroom (Room 203 on North side) which the maintenance staff tried to alleviate but the smell returned within a day. I think we got unlucky with the room we got in that regard, but would be unsure whether we would go for the same hotel again.

Room Tip: South side would be sunnier, and aerier
