This hotel is of a high standard. The rooms were spotless and very modern with a beautiful bathroom. Was on bb but had dinner every night in the hotel as i found the food very good.Hotel was only a few mins from the beach and the main shopping area. The area around the hotel was very quite so no problem with noise. The area around the pool was lovely with very comfortable sun loungers. The only bad thing i found with the hotel is the pool was not heated.

Dear dhealy,
Thank you very much for your preference and for your pleasant review. We hope you come back again to the Algarve and hopefully to Aqua Pedra dos Bicos. We would love to heat the outside pool but this should have been done before construction as now the investment needed would be too high. Kind regards, Joao Costa - Details Hotels & Resorts

The hotel is located close by to the strip. It's modern, very clean and well maintained. The staff in the main are very helpful and friendly. Hotel food from their restaurant is nice and reasonably priced. I found that the food there was better than some of the establishments on the strip. There's a few nice beaches within walking distance. I'd highly recommend this hotel. My only gripe is the music they play in the dining area, they need to change the music and not play the same tracks over and over again.

Room Tip: I'd ask to be located one floor up from the ground floor.

Dear CUONG T,
Thank you very much for your review and your preference at Aqua Pedra dos Bicos. Thanks very for the tip regarding the repetition of the restaurnt music, unfortunatelly is manual, we have to be more attentive and good to know that you found our gastronomy quality better that other restaurants in the area, it is very rewarding to know as we put a lot of effort in it. Hope you're coming again to visit us and the Algarve. Kind regards, Joao Costa - GM Details Hotels & Resorts

A very clean and modern hotel, only a short 5 minute walk to the beach.

We stayed for 5 nights during October half term so was expecting it to be busy, but to our delight the hotel and surrounding area was quite empty! It's about a 5 minute walk away from the main 'strip' with plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you busy, and a further 20 minutes walk to the 'Old town' which has even more to offer in the way of places to eat and things to do. If you don't fancy the walk, there is a handy and cheap tourist train which takes you there.

The room was very clean, and had everything we needed - including a free safe! The minibar/fridge was handy but annoying as half of it was filled with stuff you had to buy. We ended up having to squeeze in our own waters we had bought from the supermarket round the corner (much cheaper)!! The balcony was very small but we had a lovely view of the sea (we didn't pay extra as it was a room on the side but could still see most of the coast).

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from - fruit, hot food, ham, cheese, cereal, toast, yoghurt, rice cakes, juices, etc. We only paid for B&B, but we're glad we didn't pay for the evening meal as there are lots of restaurants in the area which had more of a selection.

Overall, the hotel was beautiful and we would definitely stay again.

PS: Found the book swap table (at the bottom of the stairs) a brilliant idea and very useful - previous tourists would leave their books/magazines for others to read which meant you always had something new :)

Room Tip: Let the hotel know if you are arriving earlier than the check-in time of 4pm. We arrived at the hotel at 11 due to an early flight but our room was ready as we had emailed them before hand!!!

Dear JS2209,
Thanks very much for choosing us. A pitty you haven't tried our restaurant...dinner is as good as breakfast, but hard to choose from the wide variety of restaurants just around the corner. We understand your point about the supermarket drinks being cheaper, but we need to take the time and walk up there, anyway in our mini-bar if you've checked the price a Coke for 2,00 euros is not too expensive. Yes, it is much easier if guests email us about preferences and early check-ins.
Thnk you very much for your nice review and we will do our outmost to keep improving with our guests tips and hints. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards, Joao Costa - GM Details Hotels & Resorts

had a great time here room was great with the view of the sea well worth the extra payment. staff did look a bit rushed at meal times. nice cafe on the beach about a five to ten minute walk from the rear of the hotel. i will not add any photos of the hotel as there are plenty on this site already.

Room Tip: pay the extra for the sea view

Stayed here in March 12. Hotel was modern with good quality fixtures and fittings in communal areas and bedrooms. Bedroom had plenty of space, bit dissapointing that we only got 1 hr of sunon the balcony, but this did not spoil our stay. The breakfast choice was of a really high standard, fresh fruit, lots of cereal choices fresh bread and a hot selection too. We were b&b only but did have lunch here one day, the food was fresh, well presented and served with a smile. We were really lucky as the weather was in the high 20s during our week here but we also hited a car for the week in order to explore the Algarve. We would recommend this especially if like us, its your first visit to this area. The hotel is in a great location, walkto the strip in 10 mins and the old town in 45 mins. The old town is worth visiting, nice square with one or two good restaurants. We would recommend the Italian, had a great meal here on two occasions. There are some restaurants on the front overlooking the beach, although we cant remember the name there is a Portuguese one on the left corner where we had the most amazing meal, great service a real fine dining experience.

Room Tip: Pay a little more for a sea view room
