We arrived after midnight to a very welcoming Bruno! He happily showed us to our room which was just what we expected after reading the reviews on here. Spotlessly clean, large one bedroomed apartment. The living room has two large sofa beds in so my daughters had one each and thought the space was great! It has everything in there you need including a washing machine. Sadly no pool view but relieved we were at the back of the building over looking the carpark due to the noise at the front of the building. The road is a little busy so nicer to be away from that if you can help it. We ended up in Cheers Bar below for a couple of drinks and as we’d had a late flight and we were all pretty hungry. Cheers Bar seems to stay open all night. Great atmosphere in there and they really look after you. They cooked us a couple of really nice pizzas which we wouldn’t have expected so late on. They do the best mojitos too!
The hotel is run by a really friendly small team and they never seem to stop working. The pool bar is great, not over priced at all and Bruno’s dad gives you lessons in Portuguese which is great fun. We all learned how to say obrigado and a few other simple phrases.
The whole Hotel area is immaculate. The pool is continually cleaned and the best thing of all was no early get ups in the morning to try and reserve a sun lounger. Just enough for everyone no matter what time you arrived and the staff put a stop to anyone leaving towels on if they weren’t there to use them.
One minor unwelcome surprise we did get was having to pay extra for air con. We were a little caught out on that one as we had obviously read the holiday description wrong and expected it to be included. I can’t remember the exact figure but we did have to pay around an extra 80 euros or near enough for the fortnight which we could’ve done without. But it was that hot we needed it in the rooms and it worked a treat.
We would definitely return to these apartments again. The location is spot on being just far enough away from the Strip which is really buzzing until the early hours. Friends of ours stayed in a hotel right on the strip and got no sleep what so ever so this confirmed we made the right choice.
Nearest beach is about a 15 minute walk. Bit uphill on your return but there are a couple of shops and bars on the way for much needed liquid refreshment.
A walk into the old town only took us about half an hour. Although the little train stop was only just around the corner so just as easy to hop on that if we didn’t fancy walking. A taxi cost about 5 euros into the Old Town too which we thought was pretty reasonable.
If you’re looking for a nice meal visit Blue Sky Restaurant. This is about ¾ of the way up the strip off one of the side roads. We ate there 3 times as they looked after us so well. The food was beautiful and they would adapt a meal to whatever you wanted. It does take a while to cook if the restaurants busy but you cant rush perfection. Lovely family run and very, very friendly.

Stayed in these appartments in september with few friends, The rooms was very clean and well equiped. The appartments were in a great location between the strip and the old town with train passing every 20mins. The bar was nice and friendly staff. Would go again for location and value.

Just returned from a weeks stay here.
Ideal location, not to far from the beach, and just far enough away from the strip and the old town so as you don't suffer the noise of drunken revellers at 4 in the morning!
The staff are all really friendly and the rooms and public areas are all spotless,
The pool area was nice, and the ice cold beer (in ice cold glasses) from the pool bar was tasty.
Cheers bar was well priced with good food/drink, friendly service and free WIFI
We ate at the Indian next door one evening, food was ok and service was really good.
This was our first trip to Portugal and we are already looking forward to returning.

The Sereia da Oura hotel was brilliant, just what we were after. The rooms were spotless pool area was nice with a nice touch (pint glass out of the freezer, yes please) just what was needed whilst sizzling in the sun. The Cheers bar was awesome, really friendly (as were all the staff we met). Just stay away from the fire water lol. Not to far from the strip (about 5mins and you are at the bottom) and not too far from Old Town (about a15-20 min walk, jump a taxi but we preferred to be out basking and what better way than taking in the scenery on your way to have some nice food and get wasted. All in all, top top holiday had here would thoroughly recommend a stay, can't see a reason you wouldn't regret it. (oh, on the strip -great times at 'Albertus' free shot with you're drink although seemed like more once we were in ha ha. "gud-times)".

Stayed at the Sereia da Oura apartments with wife in early July 2012.
Fantastic, clean spacious room on arrival, (room 309) with full tiled bathroom and kitchenette, indeed 'Bruno' stayed up as we were the last arrivals at 1am for us and talked us through everything we needed to know.
Room overlooked pool, which is small but nevertheless more than adequate, very clean, good selection of bar snacks and drinks and music playing.
Marta on reception couldn't be more helpful with directions, booking excursions etc.
The location was excellent about 10mins walk from the main strip and 15-20 mins from the old town and marina.
Only bad point, we paid for air-con in the hotel room which was not needed at all due to the freeeeezing winds at night time in resort! brrr!

Would recommend this hotel to anyone and may come back one day soon! Thanks Marta and Bruno, keep up the great work.

This was our 2nd time in Albufeira. We stayed in July 2012. Our apartment was fully equipped (washing machine, electric hob & oven, kettle, fridge freezer, etc). It has a balcony over looking the pool/car park. The apartments are close to the strip but far enough away as not to hear the noise. Beach is 15 mins away by foot. TV has 2 English speaking channels, BBC1 London & ITV1 West Country. 1.50 Euro for pint at pool bar, food reasonably priced also. Below the apartments are a nice pub called Cheers and an excellent restaurant called Great India Tandoori Restaurant. We'll be back to this hotel next year.

We stayed here for 1 week with our 2 kids aged 7 and 10.The apartments are very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the rear car-park/pool,which was nice and quiet(someone from trip advisor had suggested we request a rear room due to the traffic noise at the front of the building, which was very true). The only negative comment, with regards to the apartment, was that the bedroom window faced onto the top of the stairs,so in the early hours of the morning we were always wakened by the shouting/singing of the evening revellers coming back to their apartments.By the fourth night of our holiday, with very little sleep,we discovered the sofa beds in the living room area turned into 2 double beds,so we all slept in there, which was great!Sereia da Oura doesn't seem to be a place for families with younger kids like ours,as they were the only kids there. It soon became apparent that the majority of guests were groups of lads or girls away for 3 or 4 night breaks which were spent drinking all day at the small bar by the pool, going to 'The Strip' at night and falling into the pool fully clothed the following morning still drunk from the night before. This is all not the fault of Sereia da Oura but more due to it's close proximity to 'The Strip'.Yes the walk to 'The Strip' is only 5 mins away but as a family, once we discovered 'The Old Town',it would have been more suitable to stay in that area. From the Sereia da Oura it was a 10min walk to the nearest beach,20min walk to 'The Old Town'(no-one tells you it's down a BIG HILL and then you've to climb it again on your way home) and 10min walk to the nearest shop to get supplies. We soon discovered that it ranged between 3.25euro and 3.90euro for a taxi to 'The Old Town',so we did that instead as the kids complained of all the walking. The nearest Taxi rank to the apartments is a 2min walk away uphill towards 'The Strip',on the opposite side of the road. There's also a little tourist train you can catch at the roundabout, which will take you on a loop of Albufeira, and it cost 7euro for the 4 of us 1 way. There is a gem of a restaurant 2mins walk from the apartments called 'Tres Palmeras'(at the roundabout)-PLEASE go there,it looks like nothing from the outside, but when you go in,it's thronged with people, both tourists and locals. The service is excellent and so is the food. You won't regret it!

Room Tip: Book the rear of the building on 2nd or 3rd floor.
