I stayed here for a week in Sept 2012,Eva is an excellent hostess, breakfast buffet has a nice choice of breads, cheeses, cooked meats, cereal and fruit. The staff here go the extra miles to ensure that your stay is hassle free. For example airport transfers can be organised prior to your visit, and afternoon tea, coffee and cake is a nice extra that is included. I was in Albufeira last week and decided to pop in just to say 'Hello' one morning. Evas response was to say 'You should have come in later for coffee and cake ' ! What a lovely attitude ,to offer a cuppa to an ex-guest ! I will certainly return for another week !

Room Tip: My room was at the front of the building. The narrow street is not as quiet as I first thought,in fut...

Have stayed here for the last few years and looking forward to going back this September with family. Spotless, quirky, friendly, traditional, great breakfasts! Lots of extras that come included, like afternoon tea and cake, beach chairs/mats, umbrellas and beach games and towels to borrow. We were always welcomed with a bottle of wine, sweets and flowers - a lovely touch! The rooftop terrace was just the best place to sit with a G&T before going for dinner, or to sunbathe if you couldn't be bothered going to the beach. Too hot? Not a problem as there's a shower on the roof! And to top it all, the best hosts in Eva and Mats, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to get back there!

Room Tip: Third floor rooms give great views!

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of October 2013. It was my first visit to Portugal and the location of the Dianamar and friendliness of the staff has made a lasting impression on me. This family run hotel stands apart from the rest with little touches added to make your stay pleasant . Returning to our room the evening of our arrival we were greeted with a bottle of complimentary wine set out on the pretty little table on our balcony with glasses and home made biscuits and sweets. On each landing tea, coffee and a tin of biscuits were available all through the day , again complimentary, to enable guests to make hot drinks at any time. A buffet breakfast was available each morning which had enough to suit everyone's palette. Hot food was limited to toast(home made bread) and porridge. Every afternoon home made cakes and biscuits were available again complimentary. Although we did not use the facility (we went to the nearby beach) there is a rooftop lounge area with adequate sun loungers tables and chairs. A kitchenette attached to this area allows guests to use the microwave and fridge for personal food items. If you stay at this pretty little hotel you will not need to bring with you (as these are all provided free) travel kettle(available with t bags, cups on landing), sun or rain umberella, beach mats, balls, frisbees, buckets/spades(in large box at entrance to hotel), cool boxes.(in room). Most hotels charge for safety deposit boxes but again these were free in the room. I could almost certainly say that if there was something you needed at this hotel, the owners would try their utmost to get it for you! They even mended a suitcase for me so that I could use it on the return journey home. There isn't very much I can find negative to say. It is in a lovely quiet street about 10 minutes walk from the main bars and restaurant and the beach. A few yards from the hotel are a few restaurants and a small bar for those who dont want to walk into the town. There aren't any lifts in the hotel so may be people who have difficulty climbing stairs ask for rooms on lower floors. I would definitely return here hopefully this year to show this little gem to my elderly mother.

Room Tip: Choose first floor for mobility problems and back rooms for quietness

We stayed here for 1 week based on the reviews from trip advisor. The B&B arranged our transporation from the airport at a reasonable price. There is a very personal touch to this B&B. Everyone is very friendly. We had 2 rooms which were adjacent to each other so we could open the front door and go from room to room. The room facing the front entrance was very noisy late at night when people were heading home after partying. Mats and Eva were very accommodating and there is a spare room downstairs that they would hold your luggage until the room is ready and likewise at the end of your stay, there was a shower and a private room to change if your flight out was later than checkout so we were able to spend the morning at the beach and then shower and get ready for our departure. The rooms were were clean and comfortable. There is a big assortment of novels you can choose from if you wish to read. There is complimentary afternoon tea/coffee with sweets and cakes. There were paddle ball, mats, umbrellas, soccer balls available in a basket to take to the beach. There is a fridge on the top level available for you to put your personal items once you labelled it with your name. There was a nice assortment available for breakfast. The B&B was away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough for you to walk to. Highly recommend this and would stay there again.

We stayed here for a week and booked based on trip advisor reviews. The hotel arranged our transport from the airport too at a reasonable price. There is definately a personal touch at this B&B. There are complementary sweets, tea and cakes every afternoon and coffee and tea trays on every floor. There are also fridges for use of guests. The breakfast is excellent with choices of cereals, cheese and meats, olives, salad, home made breads and jams and plenty of juice, coffee and tea.
There is wifi in reception and we had a first floor room so picked up wifi in there too. The rooms are traditional and typical of Portugal. The bathroom was old but clean with an good hot shower. We also had a balcony which we used a lot. There was no TV in the room but that didn't bother us. There is also a roof terrace for sunbathing that has a great view of the sea and the town.
The only negative was we were at the front of the property and it was very noisy at times. We like an afternoon nap and there is a man who walks his three dogs passed every day, which starts a barking competition with the other resident dogs. There was also a lot of noise from a bar a few doors down on a couple of nights.
Overall I would recommend this place and would return.

Stayed here for 9 nights 7th October 2012 in room 302, Nice little room with comfy bed and pillars, lovely balcony with a fantastic sea view. very peaceful with lots of finishing touches ie, sweets, beach towels, tea and biscuits, sun beds on the lovely roof terrace, home made cakes every afternoon, free use of parasols for beach use, free use of wifi and computer, close to bars and restarants only 400 mtrs for the wonderful Old Town. Very friendly staff couldn't do enough to help, This is not a hotel but a faultless b&b. No mod cons but home comports more than compensate for this, Will definatly return

Room Tip: 3rd floor has 2 sea view rooms

The Dianamar is away from the hustle and bustle of Albufeira but is still onlya 5 minute walk to the centre. It is also close to the lift down to the beach. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea and was comfortable and had all we needed. The self service breakfasts were excellent and very varied, catering for all nationalities and tastes. The afternoon tea and cake were an added bonus included in the price. We would definitely stay there again if we went back to Albufeira.

Room Tip: Only the two top bedrooms have a sea view so when booking you need to request a sea view.
