We did not have a hotel booked when we arrived in Evora and we're still not sure what was going on, but of the five hotels we tried, this was the only one with any vacancy. We paid 48 euro for a room and were pleased with what we got for that price. It is very close to the historic city centre and parking is convenient (and free!). It wasn't until we were settled into our room that night we realized how amazing the pool area looked- we had spent the day exploring the city and sitting in the main square but had we known how nice the pool was we would have made a point to relax there. The hotel is a little dated, but it is clean. The room was well looked after and the bed was comfortable. The price included breakfast which was a nice touch. Food included sausage, eggs, toast and other pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese and cold cuts, as well as juice, coffee and tea. The staff was very friendly as well.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and paid about £100 for bed and breakfast. First impression was omg! What have I done! As you enter the hotel the chairs and sofas were so worn, stained and dirty looking that I couldn't bring myself to sit on them. The walk to our room along the long corridors had an overpowering cloying smell of air fresheners, which my husband later thought it was furniture polish. The room smelt very musty and also of air fresheners, the brown carpet stained by bleach from the bathroom doorway, the curtain was hanging off the rail and the tired furniture completed the overall picture as we walked in. The hair dryer in the bathroom was in pieces, the remote control for the tv did not work and the pillows were like lumps of foam balls stuffed inside a pillow case. The bar was not open on the times the notices stated, the service in the restaurant was slow , half my steak was in edible and my dessert was still frozen at dinner that night. That is a few of the bad points for this visit, the following are the good points.
The hotel was placed where parking spaces are plentiful and walking into the town only takes 10 or 15 mins. The hotel, though tatty, is very clean, sheets towels and bathroom spotless. The air con worked and there was no extra charge for it. The breakfast was good for a buffet style, with a good selection of food to choose from . The pool area was very nice and looked clean and well set out. The price was very cheap which obviously reflected the state of the hotel. Enjoyed the visit to Evora but would only recommend this hotel to anyone not fussy and wanted a cheap place to stay.

We had one night in Evora and could only book 2 separate bed rooms for us (2 adults and 2 kids) but next to each other so that was all right.
Parking is available on a separate area (unpaved) on the other side of the street.
Rooms we had were on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool area (very nice) and had a balcony to sit with chairs and table.
Rooms are spacious and beds were fine (bit hard). Bath room and bed room upto standard.

Breakfast was served (buffet) in a separate room. English (eggs / sausage) and continental as well as fresh fruit, fresh cake was really good.

Evora village is approx 1 km walking from hotel which is a nice historic place and nice restaurants and the like.

It's the second time I stay at the Dom Fernando Hotel, in Évora.
It is located out of the city historical walls but at a very short distance from the center - you get to the Praça do Giraldo, the heart of Évora, in a few minutes.
The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the buffet breakfast is decent.
Make sure you get a room facing the pool - nothing like waking up and jumping into the pool (with direct access from your room) to start the day in glory!
There are nicer options in Évora, but if you want value for money, take this hotel.

Room Tip: Take the ground floor rooms facing the pool.

We were at the hotel for two nights in early May. The hotel is dated, but not unattractive. It is very well located, near a gate to the walled city, but in a very unattractive area. The rooms all face the inner court, an area with an attractive swimming pool and lounge chairs. This is a wise design choice given the area around the hotel.
The room was of medium size and very nondescript. The clean bathroom has the toilet, bath, and sink all in one room, an inconvenience when two people are trying to get out quickly. I have discovered that this in the norm at hotels in Europe.
The breakfasts were adequate is you’re not too demanding. I’m not a “foodie” so the juice, rolls, cheese and yogurt were fine. Those who want much more would be disappointed. We did eat one supper (not really a dinner,) The food was not bad and the prices reasonable.
I do not recall the terms (or availability) of internet access.

Overall, adequate.

Room Tip: Hotel is U shaped and all rooms face the court/pool. Choice: bottom of the U for quite, top of the U...

This hotel is located within 10 minutes walk from the capela dos ossos. So you're quite fast in the city. It is possible to park your car in front of the hotel. The hotel is large and so are the rooms. The beds are small and i didn't sleep well in this bed. The breakfast area is very dark and we had better breakfasts in Portugal, but it is not bad.

Price was good for hotel so close to Old Town Center. Parked right in front, hotel was not busy, could use some room modernization. Large lobby and lobby bar are inviting with a fire going in the bar area. Staff were very nice and accomodating. Room was average but included a good breakfast offering. The restaurant in the hotel was quite good and reasonable prices. Pool was not open yet but looked ok in the middle of the hotel yard. Just a short walk to all the Evora historic places.
