Probably not the place to go if you are a gourmet - no fancy sauces or signature dishes - but good basic ingredients well prepared and presented without much flair. The menu is of the size that suggests everything is going to be freshly prepared and indeed so it turned out.
Although the staff were courteous and pleasant there seemed to be a quirk insomuch as the person who took the order was rarely the person who served it. We asked for a portion of PLAIN butter as distinct from the green herb infested stuff that was offered with the couvert and after having to remind a different waitress it eventually appeared twenty minutes later - why?
On the plus side they have a very good selection of wines by the glass - a good 150ml measure and reasonably priced. Although as can be seen from the pictures the restaurant has a modern minimalist feel, it could do with some paintings to break up the fairly stark white walls and provide a bit more atmosphere.
