Our group of 4 was totally amazed that a city the size of Evora would have such a wonderful museum. Full of great relics and original artwork. We'll worth a visit and the modest entry fees.

After visiting the archaeological sites of megaliths and dolmen near Evora it was excellent to see the artifacts collected and the audiotour was very helpful as well.

Do not miss this museum ! Although it is not a large museum it has some very nice specimens of statues (and other assets) from the roman period and an impressive collection of paintings . The museum is also a very good example of a modern and very organized one . The displaying and the lighting of the pieces and paintings are very good ! The audio-guide is included in the price and is very useful !! Very interesting !

I visit it many years ago (2012), many many roman statues and remains are to be seen in this museum. If you are not into that kind of stuff, you wont need more then an hour to walk through.
