“Delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

Lovely restaurant, interior is rustic and the food is delicious. We had the tomato soup, a local speciality. It comes as a huge portion. Then the pork with clams, very good. The owner explains the menu and suggested what to have. Excellent long lunch on a rainy day in Evora. Overall would definitely recommend.

“Great dinner at a lovely restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

Country decor with wine barrels, agricultural implements and red and white checkered tablecloths. The Portuguese menu was translated for us in details by the host, the food was wonderful and so was the house wine. Try the sea bass.

“Great lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014

The tomato soup was just what we wanted for lunch on a cold March day. Warming, tasty and very filling. Also loved the roasted peppers starter and red barrel wine. Really good simple, rustic lunch with friendly owner.

“Alot more than tomato soup!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014

Carlos, the owner & host must get fed up serving the tomato soup - it IS very good, but there's a lot more on the menu which is tasty, local and a little more adventurous! The house red was very good (as per the ADC hotel recommendation), and was the best 'budget' red that we had during our 3 week tour. Not a whole lot of atmos, but that's probably due to the ridiculously early times that most of us tourists eat at ! The owner came across as a v. pleasant guy with a good sense of humour and kept a close eye on the food preparation. We'd like to go back some more and work our way through the menu!

“A great meal at a lovely place with a great host!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

Delicious tomato soup, which is so much more than Campbell tomato soup. A side of sausages and a wholesome soup. We also had the grilled black pork, which is so good. The host explained all the menu items, talked about where the food came from, and was very nice. The costs were very reasonable.
