M'Ar De Ar Aqueduto

Certificate of Excellence

We stayed here for three nights with our 2-month old son, in a 1st floor room, and had two meals at the hotel, in the swimming pool restaurant, one being sushi.By the way, the sound-proofing of the rooms is excelent.
The location of the hotel is perfect, close to one of the city entrances.
The room was wonderful, with a big bed and space enough for the baby cot.
The staff is friendly and helpful; breakfast is very good and we loved the restaurant.
There are plenty of other restaurants in Evora, in a walking distance range.
Why not try "Moinho do Cu Torto" ? ... traditional restaurant with a name impossible to translate !

The location inside the walls of Evora is convenient to everything. The entrance is through a Manueline gate so the very modern lobby is nicely juxtaposed. Look for vaulted ceilings, some with frescos, in the lower level. Originally a palace stood on the site, then a factory. The hotel has been open only four years. The entirely new wing houses beautifully appointed and designed rooms with stunning baths. Sound proofing is excellent. Lower level rooms have patios opening to an enormous garden framed by a a large aqueduct. Pool area is beautiful, though the pool is unheated. There is a lovely, small spa and exercise room. The staff speaks perfect English and has provided great help organizing a tour of the countryside. Their appears to be special features for children, though we did not inquire. Room service is great. Great value.

I stayed at this hotel because the Sister M'ar De Ar was already full. This hotel is a very nice. The rooms are very spacious, with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are well appointed with separate shower and bath (with another shower).

I ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was of a good standard and reasonable (for a hotel restaurant).

The place is beutifull with the aqueduct on the yard and nice pool and garden. The services was extremly good the whole time from the time we stepped into the hotel until the moment we left. The spa was great witht 2 different types of saunas. There was also amazingly good sushi in the hotels restaurant with good value for money.

Breakfast was top class as well.Rooms were very nice with balcony. Evertyhing was perfect ten actually!

A fantastic place, walking distance to the city, the aquaduct in its garden and easy to reach by car.
A big free parkinggarage to park your car. The rooms are very spacious and everything was ok.
Great design, not only the rooms but all over in the hotel. The reception works efficient and they speak several languages. The breakfast was very good, so is the restaurant. They also offer a sushibar service. Certainly one of the best hotels we were in Portugal.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a spa room in september. The room was lovely and spacious with our own private terrace and spa pool. The bed huge and comfortable, with good turndown service. We especially appreciated the design, Arne Jacobsen egg chairs and lighting, the pool and childrens pool (even if it was bit too refreshing sometimes) and the service. Parking is free and the breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. We did not try the restaurant.

All in all an excellent place to recharge the batteries.

Inside the walls of Evora, a good place to stay and visit the city. Nice breakfast and restaurant. A very modern building, but needs improvement in the maintenance. My bathroom had some draining and made the floor wet. The balcony was ok, but a divisory between the rooms would be nicer.
