We stayed here for two nights and the only thing we regretted was not staying longer. We had a wonderful ground floor room with a small outdoor private terrace and lounge chairs. The rooms are big and airy; the staff is so helpful and friendly; breakfast is marvellous. We did a 15 day road trip in Portugal and this hotel was a highlight. Thank you to the staff for a great stay; we hope to come back one day soon.

Room Tip: The ground floors with private decks are nice.

The location is perfect, the rooms are very nice and the service is good.
We had lunch at the swimming pool twice in our short stay and if you enjoy Sushi than you really should eat the Sushi in the Hotel - it is perfect!
The breakfast is wounderfull, a huge variaty of juices, cakes, breads, jams etc...
Overall we had a nice stay.

We love this hotel, the rooms are lovely , big bed and the bathrooms are perfect with one bathtub and a shower if you prefer. Tv channels are perfect .
Once again breakfast his the best breakfast we have ever eaten (not couting with Caribean hotels) , it got lots of Jams selection , and cheeses and natural juice .

Évora is always a lovely place to visit.

The hotel must improve in some aspects :
More chairs in the pools and place on the grass, because the Pool area is to small for all hotel guests.
The free WI-fi is good but we dont have it in the room which would be nice.
No inside pool.
The price in some month is overpriced.

Overall the hotel is great, and the staff is nice and competent.

Really excellent hotel located in central Portugal. Very stylish and modern whilst keeping the traditional perspective of ancient Evora. Rooms excellent, well fitted and equipped and ultra comfortable. Fabulous to watch DVD of concerts (Phil Collins) screened outside against white walls of hotel whilst drinking superb Alentejo wine in the upper balcony/terrace bar area. Well recommended and one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure to visit.

Room Tip: Superior room located on the ground floor with direct access to gardens and pool area.

Very good location and the staff is wonderfull. The rooms are good, but i expected more of a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is superb.
I think that is a little bit expensive for what it offers.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel May 12-13, 2012. My first impression from outside on the street was that it looked a little run down, but as soon as I entered I was pleasantly surprised at how modern it actually is.

We had a very nice, uneventful check-in. We were shown to room #226 on the second floor. The hallways were quite dramatic, with very high ceilings and simple decor. Our large room was beautiful and very clean. It looked brand new. The bathroom was huge, with two showers and a bathtub. The bed was enormous as well and really comfortable. And the electronic black-out drapes were a bonus.

The breakfast buffet was the best of the three hotels we stayed in Portugal. Not only did they have the basic staples (bread assortment, cold cuts, coffee/ tea/ juice), but they also had several hot choices (eggs, meats) and many more extras (champagne, mimosas, hot crepes with several condiments, nice variety of fruit, etc.). I was very impressed with the selections available and everything was tasty.

There were only a few downsides to the hotel. The wifi was not available in the room and was sketchy in the restaurant (it worked pretty well in the lobby). The air conditioning didn't cool the room off enough to make us really comfortable (granted, we like it cold). The rooms have very high ceilings and it was quite warm out... so those could have been contributing factors. But, this was only May. I can't imagine how hot it must get in August.

The one other complaint was the spa. My husband had a massage and said it was terrible. (He likes a really deep tissue massage and he told that to the masseuse, but still left feeling disappointed and like it was a waste of money.)

But, other than those two things, everything else was absolutely wonderful.

Finally, I have to mention the staff here was amazing (probably the best of the three Portugal hotels we stayed at)! Carla Marques was so incredibly nice, patient and accommodating in answering our questions. We were recommended to go to "Fialho" for lunch and of the 4 restaurants we ate at in Evora, that was in the top two. At our other favorite restaurant, "Casa Italiana", (which we actually just stumbled upon as it's right across from the hotel parking garage), we dined outside on the second floor, right up against the city wall. The food was great and the atmosphere even more spectacular.

Evora is such a charming city with mysteries around every corner, just waiting to be discovered. I can't wait to go back and I would definitely stay at this hotel again, as long as it's not during the hot summer months.
