Choupana has two sections: bar (where you can eat snacks/tapas sitting at the long bar, rather than separate tables) next door to a small restaurant. On the evening we went, both areas were full/busy - majority with Portuguese customers - and we had to wait a few minutes while they cleared a table in the restaurant. There is nothing 'fancy' about this place - it has a family run feel to it with large portions of straightforward dishes and friendly, efficient service at value prices. Not a place to go for romantic, leisurely meals - tables are quite crowded together and given waiting customers, they need to turn over tables - but with an authentic Portuguese atmosphere we liked
