This si a pace you cannot review like other places. it is a totally different experience here. This is a place of pilgrimage so do not go there with the attitude of checking into a hotel. Considering what it is I was overjoyed with how we were received there. The monks were more than willing to make our stay there fruitful. The did whatever they could to the best of there abilities to make our stay there beneficial for us. We stayed there only for a one night left the place there with a feeling to come back for more days of quiet and peaceful time.

On top of a granite rock, built by a miracle, stands the iconic Monastery of Simonopetra. There you will experience the holy and divine, but also enjoy a spiritual dialogue with one of the Fathers, while participating in their daily activities. You have to ask for permission months ahead and wait, because they accept only a few visitors per day.
