Upon our arrival to Panormos Village Resort I was a little disappointed in what seemed like a remote location by taxi. That idea quickly changed. (only 10-15 minutes from the main town of Mykonos) However, we had just arrived by ferry boat through rough waters from the town of Fira, Santorini and a taxi ride that left us at the bottom of the hill with our American sized luggage. My initial impression changed quickly! The staff (family run) could not have been more accommodating to two Americans who must have seemed like more trouble than they were worth. We were hungry, tired, sleep deprived, & a little seasick from the voyage - which prevented us from being friendly.

Andreas' family & staff could not have been nicer!! They indulged us in a room change which allowed us a private balcony for a nominal fee. They included our breakfast - which our travel agent (yes - there is still such a thing) forgot to book, and did not make us feel stupid for being indecisive. Staff - Vakyris - took us to the supermarket for supplies (there is a small kitchenette in each room) and even took us to town when doing an airport run.

When we went to the main town on Mykonos we had every intention of staying for dinner - but after having a late lunch we decided to return to Panormos Village Resort with our patronage.

The chef, Roberto, is amazing!! The best meals we had in Greece were at Panormos Village Resort, and we ate at 1500 BC On Santorini - look it up. We varied our meals and were never disappointed. The Pork Souvlaki, the Stuffed Chicken, the Shrimp, the Pasta, & the Fresh Fish which Chef Roberto himself taught me how to de-bone were all exceptional! The desserts, and I am not a sweets eater, were also fabulous. Flambeed bananas, chocolate lave cake w/ ice cream & fresh whipped cream, & fruit kabobs were nicely paired with every meal.

I cannot give this resort a higher rating, and I am a picky hotel guest. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and most importnatly relaxing!!

Kudos to the entire Panoromos Village Resort family & staff!!!

The staff at this hotel were really helpful and did everything from picking us up at the ferry, dropping us off at the airport and driving us into town to get a scooter. They were all friendly and gave us directions to the best beaches etc as well as other places in Greece. Our room was very nice and had a flat screen TV, kitchenette which made self catering easy. The view from our room was amazing but the patio is almost shared with the two rooms on either sides and it isn't very private. The guests in the next room also smoked on the patio and it drifted into our room through the window and also made sitting on the patio uncomfortable.
Panormos beach is really beautiful and a bit less busy than some of the beaches on the island.
The hotel is very far from town and isolated. There aren't any stores or anything near the hotel. If you want to sit at the resort all day this is the perfect place for you, it is beautiful and has a pool, lounge chairs and a restaurant. If you are the type of people that want to go out and explore then you will want to rent a scooter from the hotel or in town.
The wifi worked well during our stay and the shower had plenty of hot water, pressure and was a pretty good size compared to Greece standards.

Room Tip: Try and get an upstairs room with a private balcony!

Beautiful situation with stunning views. We found the tavernas on the beach very expensive so stayed to eat & drink in the on-site restaurant. Roberto prepared some delicious meals, served by Vangelis, with Andreas hovering in the background who could not be more helpful & charming. The rooms were clean & well appointed, the beach was lovely especially in the morning when you often had it to yourself. After visiting Naxos & Paros we returned to Mykonos, spent 2 days on Ornos beach, but after a quick phone call to Andreas we were lucky enough to be able to spend our last 2 nights at Panormos, which was the perfect end to our holiday. Room Tip: Superior doubles on first floor are favourite.

We stayed in Panormos Village in June for a 7 days. We chose Panormos Village based on reviews so expectations were very high but i need to say that reality was even better. Wonderful sandy beach with clean and transparent water. Clean rooms and hotel overall. The staff was nice, friendly and manage to do for us everything what we asked for especially Andreas managed to sort everything for us like renting quad bike, borrow any equipments that can be handy on the beach. He let me mix my own cocktails behind the bar because i used to be bartender and i enjoyed making nice cosmopolitan and berry light. First day we landed at the airport we were picked up and lifted to hotel. If we asked to go to town or go shopping, Andreas gave us a lift. Its quite expensive to call taxi to town and back to hotel i estimate the price of taxi would be about 25-30e so we borrow quad bike for a day what was 20e and we saved some bucks and had quad bike rented for a day so we could explore the island. First day we manage to explored the east coast and north coast beaches. One of the nicest beaches was Fokos beach. This beach was really quiet located between cliffs, very suitable for couples. The other day we rented a quad we decided to go to town. Town is small and crawded with very narrow streets with lots of shops and good meals. When we came back to hotel we wanted to see lighthouse during sunset but we ended on the top of the hill with quad bike with stunning view so we were happy we didnt find lighthouse. The road to the hill was brilliant for boys like i am if you like adrenalin because the road was suitable for offroad quadbike so i could hear my gf screaming and i was behaving like a small kids on that road. From that hill you could see whole Mykonos.
Back to hotel. Food was excellent better than in some restaurant in UK. Deserts are gorgeous and big so one desert is enough for 2 people. From cocktails i would recommend Andreas mojito and milkshakes. If you are young couple i recommend the room 103 which is quiet but also with stunning view. You just open a door or window and you can see the Panormos beach.
I got the room upstair that was higher standard than we occupied during our 7 days stay for a romantic night with my gf so we had two separate rooms last night. One with our luggage and in other one we slept. The upstairs room has brilliant furniture and my gf was amazed by shower and light on the wall that was changing colours so thats exactly the room suitable for romantic night.
As i said we were there for 7 days but didnt find any bad thing during our stay. We definitely recommend this for young couples and family with small kids. The pool near our room was clean, well located, had bar and sittings with beautiful umbrellas with nice view to panormos beach located 1min walk from hotel. The last day we were giving a lift to the airport by andreas and already planning to go there in the future hopefully with my wife. I nearly forgot the rooms are clean and have small kitchen with kettle, plates etc and all rooms(whole hotel)have free wifi connection so you can share your images with family and friend as soon as you are in hotel. The atmosphere in hotel is friendly and Andreas and his family let me feel like to be at home. Also his kids are great and my gf will miss them. All the best for panormos in the future. We stayed here in June 2013 based on the recommendations of previous Tripadvisor patrons. This is a really pretty hotel perched on the side of the hill overlooking the Panormos beach. There are actually 2 beaches, though the smaller is quite dinky and not so sandy as the larger one. We did spend time on the larger of the beaches, which in June was fairly uncrowded, and a lot less crowded overall than some of the other beaches on the island such as Ornos beach and Platys Gialos. There are 2 restaurants on the beach itself, both horrendously priced even by Mykonos standards, though I have to say they have very nice relaxed atmospheres. There are lots of beanbags with low down umbrella shades which can be hired, or you can do your own thing with your towels. There is also a man who trawls the beach with giant dougnuts that I struggled to say no to (cheekily no doubt sensing my "no" might be a bit weak, he put the basket down next to me whilst he went for a quick paddle).

Panormos Village is very far from most of the main attractions, so you either go there and stay put ,enjoying the very pretty beach, or like us you hire alternative transport (in our case a quadbike - we haggled and it was low season so we got it for 5 days from the man Andreas the manager knows, at a rate of 16 euros per day which is very good). Taxis are expensive, and one couple we spoke to had not bargained on this and were not happy. In our personal experience, the quadbikes worked out really well and seemed quite safe and stable, plus were quite economical - 1 quadbike fits 2 people.

Kiki's at Agios Sostis is up the road (though honestly I would not have liked to walk the distance - see my other review for more details if you are interested).

The hotel has lots of steps, more if you get a room with a balcony. That said, they were not steep and although I had a dodgy knee, they were very doable. But if you have someone who really cannot do steps, this is an important consideration.

We got upgraded for free and got a superior room with a balcony. It was very clean, nicely decorated and had a balcony with a killer view. The bed was firm but comfortable and the pillows were better than the norm. There is a small kitchenette area with fridge/freezer which had basics including a toasted sandwich maker. It was a little light on general equipment though (induction hob but no oven) but the manager was extremely accommodating and got us extra things that we asked for, and we were able to cook fairly effectively. There is a restaurant on site which I heard good things about, but did not try (prices being a little high - though once I saw the beach restaurant prices I realised it was all relative!)

Staff are really very helpful, and the cleaner came every day. There is free wifi and a free shuttle service to port and/or airport as you need it.

We had a lovely time here and would very much recommend this hotel. Valuewise, this is an excellent choice and I doubt anyone would be disappointed!

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies are good if you want a view.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Panormos. Everything about it was fantastic! Andreas and Evangelia go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after. They even bought in another bicycle for my husband because I expressed an interest in cycling round the Island. Although it is rather hilly I would really recommend this way of seeing the island as nothing is very far away. We walked into the town one day and it took us just over an hour. A taxi cost 12 euro from town back to Panormos.

The food at Panormos is excellent and we couldn't fault it. Portions are large and we struggled to finish most of the delicious meals. Roberts the chef is Italian so lots of Italian dishes as well as Greek salads etc. We ate at the Taverna in Agios Sostis one eve, which I would recommend but food was so good at Panormos, we ate there the rest of the time. The price of main courses start from 10euro. There are lots of lovely dishes to chose from and we were always given a desert to share.
All rooms had amazing views of the bay and it was a pleasure to sit on our balcony and just watch the world go by and admire the view. We were given a free upgrade to a superior double room which was very nice. It had a kitchen area and also sofa. Room was spotlessly clean and fresh. The bathroom was fabulous with a very good shower.
Rooms are cleaned every day and clean towels provided every day. Nothing was too much trouble.
The beach is just down the hill and when we were there it was very quiet.
All in all, a lovely relaxing holiday made special by Andreas, Evangelia and their attentive staff. I can honestly say this was the best place we have stayed at in Greece. We are already planing our next trip.
