This has got to be one of my favourite hotels as I keep coming back although it's quite a drive from Athens but so worth it.
The whole Mani region is a must visit, remaining unspoilt and authentic and this is how this awesome hotel blends in this scenery, full of character and history throughout.
Staff is always polite and courteous and the food will simply amaze you.
Many things to do and places to explore nearby.

We spent a lovely couple of days here, the hotel is beautiful and in an amazing position right on the edge of the sea. We stayed in the superior split level double with balcony, this had such a gorgeous view out over the sea, you could sit in the living room and gaze outside, especially nice in the evening as darkness settled.
The rooms were quirky, clean and very comfortable, they fitted in well with the amazing old building which has been renovated really well.
The region is starkly beautiful, not at all green and soft but rocks and hard lines - however this contrast with the azure sea and huge skyline was spectacular. There is no beach here, you swim directly off the rocks and out into a calm bay, the water is crystal clear, very salty and incredibly clean - just perfect!
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, in fact the chef cooked us an amazing 4 course meal which was entirely vegan and utterly delicious.
Another highlight was Chicca the dog (providing he takes a liking to you) he escorted us around the village and always came up for a cuddle!

Room Tip: Not many rooms have a balcony, if you can afford it the junior suite is the best

We stayed for nearly a week and already look forward to returning! The hotel has a cosy family feel and its location is superb. We stayed at the master suite which can easily accommodate 4 people, with the parents sleeping in a tree-house-like loft bed right under the roof. A dainty balcony overlooking the bay adds further to the room's charm. During the latter half of our stay, we moved to another suite, also very comfortable for the 4 of us, up on top of all other rooms, it felt. Its windows were smaller, to keep the heat and blazing sun out, but a verandah-like little balcony made this room choice another excellent one. Both suites had only bathtubs, which worked fine, although a simple shower cabin would have been more comfortable.

The toiletries were very pleasant, and the towels and linens clean. Our room and bathroom, however, could have benefited from more vigorous dusting. The staff are professional and extremely courteous. In the low season, or perhaps due to the family-style set-up, they are at risk of being over-extended and sometimes their stress can show. Everyone is very well-meaning, though. When the house is full, it might be advisable to think about a buffet-style breakfast, instead of having it served by one (very energetic!) person.

Overall, a definite thumbs-up.

Room Tip: The mosquitoes in the area were very underfed and did feast on us. So, it is better to keep doors an...

If Mani wasn't full of great places to explore, I could stay inside this wonderful hotel the whole weekend! Kyrimai is luxurius and simple at the same time.
There's so much to enjoy: cosy rooms with comfortable beds, a gourmet restaurant (with stunning view to the sea, the Cavo Grosso and the village of Gerolimenas), where they serve their delicious breakfast with hand made jams and traditional pies, sunbathing on the stone boardwalk, swimming in the clear blue water in front of the hotel or in the pool with the comfortable sunbeds, have a romantic dinner in the restaurant overlooking the illuminated great rock, relax in the beautifully furnished and decorated lobby or visit the small museum with items of old Mani.

No words to describe the scenery the rooms the hotel itself. Everything is stunning. We have been there two years ago on our first trip as a couple and now went to celebrate our anniversary. If you need a quite luxurious holiday this is the place to visti in the area. Don't forget to visit their restaurant with unique recipes for an exquisite taste. Highly recommended.

Kyrimai hotel is a gem in the wild, rocky landscape of Mani peninsula. Situated at the entrance of the laconian seaside village of Gerolimenas this typical tower mani mansion is the perfect setting for both couples in love and adventurous travellers of all ages who want to taste the real Mani. Personally kyrimai is one of my favourite destinations in the world and when you go there you will find out why- just a hint..it's oh so quiet...
