I took leave between Easter & Anzac Day so we went to the Clare valley which is nice and close and we had never stayed in the area.
We found this beautiful B&B in the quaint historical town of Auburn about 24 kms south of Clare in the Clare Valley.
From the moment we walked in to when we left, we felt comfortable and pampered.
The cottage is well stocked for breakfast and in the colder months the combustion heater is fantastic, the bottle of red wine and all the other little touches such as chocolates made for a great couple of days.
The clare Valley has so many great wineries and eating places that a week is probably not long enough. We are looking forward to going back for a longer stay.
there are a lot of little towns and places to visit, the Rising Sun Hotel is just across the road for fantastic meals and atmosphere, and the Clare Valley Brewing company just around the corner for some great Craft Beers, make this one a must!
