we stayed at this hotel last weekend (march) we were on a special deal so it didnt cost a lot .The hall is very impressive as you drive up to it. We booked in and were told that we had been upgaded to the mansion which made our stay even more special. The mansion it self is lovely our room was very comfortable, clean, warm and spacious with a lovely view out onto the grounds. The staff were all cheerfull, helpfull and a pleasure to be around not one sullen face amongst them.Breakfast was lovely nicely presented lots of choice and very tasty as were the evening meals. We ate in the restaurant and although we enjoyed the food we found it a little lacking in ambeince the following night we tried the bistro again the food was good and although the bistro has a more intimate feel it was too cold to take our coats off .We did not use the leisure facilities but got a lot of enjoyment sitting in the leather chairs next to the roaring fire.If you just want a break away from it all in lovely surroundings this is the place to go.
