Just back from a 2 night stay. One of the best B & B's we've stayed in. Made to feel very welcome, Lovely room and standard of finish exceptional. Relaxed breakfast in the contemporary kitchen.Beautiful grounds. Peaceful location with easy access to the village pub and surrounding areas.
Can't believe how much restoration work has been done in less than 2 years to a very high standard.
Definitely one to go back to!

What a lovely location. Set in the middle of the fens/broads. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit. Lovely warm welcome, clean spacious rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Peaceful relaxing break

Stayed for 2 nights in the black and white room. Never stayed in a b&b before usually high end hotels and this place deserves 5 stars without a doubt. Our room was spotlessly clean, high quality contemporary furniture and a lovely en-suite. The owners were lovely and very helpful. location was rural just outside Stokesby and near The Broads, approx 9 miles from Great Yarmouth.

Highly recommend.

You will love Braid Barn. Which makes what I’m about to sat seem rather perverse.

Braid Barn is clearly something of a pet-project and the time and attention lavished on it is easy to see (it's also easy to see the construction work on site). Everything has clearly been sourced to be as top-of-the-range contemporary as possible, from the tiles in the bathroom to the Villeroy and Boch plates at breakfast. Braid Barn makes no secret that it wants to be viewed as “luxurious” and is willing to be brash and in-your-face enough to constantly reinforce that message. It’s spotless and new, pleasing on the eye and well equipped (although we didn’t get a bath which is always a little mean in my book). It’s all very tasteful, it’s clearly had a lot of money spent on it and the owner is perfectly pleasant, welcoming and helpful.

We didn’t like it.

The trick for a bed and breakfast is always a difficult one to pull off. Whichever way you cut it you’re not a guest, you’re a customer and as such, I don’t one to spend my time there feeling like I’m intruding in a stranger’s house. That’s the problem with Braid Barn, it feels exactly like you are. From the locked doors (and doors that get mysteriously locked for you) to the courtyard that affords a startling view of the owner’s gargantuan television to the cold, sterile invading-the-family-kitchen breakfast eaten in near silence, I never felt particularly relaxed at Braid Barn and who wants that on a holiday?

Honestly though, I can’t imagine anyone else having any complaints. Perhaps it’s just us?

My husband and I spent the weekend at Braid Barn and can't imagine staying anywhere else on the Norfolk Broads in future. The room was beautifully decorated with fine attention to detail, the bed was luxuriously comfortable and breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. We spent the weekend exploring the Broads by bicycle, and Braid Barn proved to be ideally situated as a base.
The local pub is the Ferry Inn, less than a mile away in Stokesby village, and we found the service friendly and welcoming and the food good.
Highly recommended!

A perfect place to stay. The owners made us feel very welcome. The buildings have been restored and finished to a very high standard. The room we stayed in was spacious, beautifully decorated and excellent attention to detail in design. A peaceful location so a good night sleep is guaranteed. I would recommend the Ferry Inn pub for food and only a mile away from the b&b. The breakfast was delicious and used locally produced food. We will be coming back to stay again. What more can I say......give this little beauty a go!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful.
