Stayed here in Oct14 but never got around to writing a review. Great location in that it was quite but just a 5-10min walk from the very centre with free parking thanks to the kind owner who made us feel most welcome. Apartment was spacious for two with quality fittings through out. We will go back....that says it all.

We spent 2 too-short days in Wipers Times to attend the Kattenstoet in 2015. Even if you aren't in Ieper to see a crazy cat festival, this lovely, modern guesthouse is well-situated to take in the sites of the storied town. Ideally situation between the town center, the station and a delicious burger joint with excellent vegetarian options.
We spent two nights at Wipers Times, as a base from which to explore the battlefields. The accommodation was excellent in all regards - clean, comfortable, very well equipped and a very warm welcome on our arrival. Free parking was a minute's walk away as are the main sights and places of interest in the city. I would certainly be very happy to pay a return visit and would happily recommend the apartment to anyone (although the stairs are quite steep!) The apartment has been updated very cleverly inside; outside, it retains its 1920s(?) façade and character.

Excellent, very clean and comfortable accommodation that is tastefully decorated and furnished. Wipers Times is thoughtfully equipped with all you need plus many extras supplied as well. The outside area is excellent for relaxing whilst eating pastries for breakfast from the nearby bakery or a glass of Wipers Times Beer from the local brewery after a busy day visiting the historic sites or an exciting day at Bellarwarde Theme Park. (you don't need children to enjoy the gardens, animals and rides at Bellarwarde. Well worth a visit!)
The Menin Gate, In Flanders Fields Museum, The Ramparts, Shops, Bars, Restaurants and Peter DeGroote's chocolate shop are all an easy short walk. Bellarwarde is a few minutes by car.
Guided tours by mini bus are available from various operators giving details of the history of the area and WW1 movements and sites. Information can be found at the Museum although I have to say that there is a great deal of information available to visitors supplied by the owner.
We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend Wipers Times after our one week stay.

This apartment was just lovely, so glad we picked it for our short stay in Ieper. The owners were great, always responding to emails before our trip promptly. We found the apartment easily and parking outside the garage on the adjacent street is free. Ludo was there to meet us and spent time telling us what to see and do in the area and gave us some good ideas - one being a walk around the ramparts to the Menin Gate which was lovely. He also told us about the world's best beer and we made a special trip out to the Abbey where it is brewed to buy some - it was a great tip! The apartment is fabulous, with everything you could need and is immaculate and very contemporary. There is one bedroom at the front of the house, with a curtain across the room so that passers by can't see in. This leads to a long open plan kitchen/dining and living room. The kitchen was very well equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven and all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you would need. There is a TV with DVD player in the bedroom and a smart TV with lots of channels, including the BBC, in the livjng area. A shower room and separate loo lead off the living area. Ieper is only small so nothing was too far from the apartment - about a 5 minute walk to the main square, with bars, restaurants and shops nearby.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Wipers Times for a stay in Ieper and would choose it again for our next visit.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife son and daughter in law, what a find. The flat is moden clean and has all the facilities you need.
There is a large double bed room at the front with TV/DVD. My son did say there was some noise in the morning from the road but it was not an issue at all. From there you go into the kitchen/lounge. The kitchen has everything fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, oven and dishwasher plus all the pots and pans you will need. There is a table for four and off to the side a WC and seperate shower room.
At the back there is a large lounge area with tables to two sofas. One converts to a double bed which I used. This was very confortable and gave a good nights sleep. Outside is a court yard with a table and chairs. At the back ther is free parking.
The owner meets you on arrival and has a mass of information to give you. There are also leaflets and maps to help.
The main square is a few minutes away as are the resturants and shops making it an ideal location. My wife and I have stayed in Ypres before in and hotel but if we go back we will certainly book Wpiers Times.
PS There were road works in Ypres at the time and the owner sent me a mapto avoid them, a nice touch.

We stayed at Wipers times for 3-nights in July 2014 whilst on a tour of England, France, Luxembourg and Belgium and were very glad to see what we had booked at Ypres after almost 2-weeks in hotels. The owner met us at the door and gave us a tour of the property which is very well presented and has all the facilities you will need.
The owner also gave us an overview of all the main tourist destinations in the surrounding area which was very helpful - especially good was the map of the walk around the city walls to the Menin Gate, very good.
We had a great time staying here and can definitley recommend it. Parking is free outside and it in only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Ypres. There are lots of shops and restraunts in the surrounding area. There are lots of leaflets provided on what to do in the area and some nice books to flick through as well.
The only downside was there is no air conditioning and it was really hot while we were there so found it hard to get to sleep. There is one double bed and 2 double sofa beds which are very comfortable.
There is a nice courtyard to sit outside in which is lovely at night - there are BBQ facilities etc but we did not use them.
