We only stayed one night at this hotel but would love to go back and highly recommend it! Our room was stunning, old world charm but with lots of modern conveniences, including a heating system that got us dry and warm when we never thought we would be either again!! The food was fantastic and the staff were helpful and managed very well in English. But the real attraction is in the garden. They have preserved a WWI battle site, complete with bunkers and tunnels, old munitions and lots of informative plaques. We were amazed and moved by the display, and that it had been preserved for so long. They ask a small fee (on the honour system) to help with the upkeep. This place is a gem!! And be sure to pop into Ypres in the evening to catch the Last Post at Menin Gate.More
