My wife and I only had a short time to spend in Ypres, but Roger was able to accommodate us.
He took us on the 4 hour of the Northern Salient, and what an impressive tour it was!
Roger is extremely knowledgeable and a superb communicator, complete with a folder full of visual aids. We learned a lot. No question, however facile, was too much trouble for Roger. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough.
Joy and Trevor, York.

We had a very happy stay with Roger and Muriel. From their B and B it was an easy walk to the Menin Gate, the Cloth Hall and the railway station and Roger took us on a most interesting tour of the battlefields that involved our father in the 16th Battalion AIF. This personalised tour was great and we felt close to the past and the events of that terrible time. We would unhesitatingly recommend both the B&B and Roger as tour guide.

I arrived at the Ieper by rail from Brussels after travelling for around 36 hours from Australia .Roger met me at the station and from there I was hosted very generously by Roger and his wife Muriel both assisted in sorting out a few problems I had which I greatly appreciated and would have found very difficult such as collecting wreaths to be laid at the ANZAC dawn service and phoning various people.
I also engaged Roger for a half days tour of the South Salient where I found his knowledge extensive and he undertook the tour at the pace that was just right and took me to the places I wanted to see ,plus providing the balance of an ideal bar sitting in the sun tasting Belgium beer talking to some wonderful locals. That experience could only have come about for me having Roger as guide .

Roger is a good bloke, for a Pom, and we enjoyed his 4 hour tour, and the accumulated knowledge he had. He knew which sites were more applicable to our nationality, and also readily admitted when he wasn't sure and said he'd do some research on that issue.
Thanks Roger.

We found Roger's Ypres town Tour, very informative and interesting. He took us to the famous places in the town but also to lesser known places where he had an anecdote to tell. We had lots of opportunity to ask questions , and he carried a file of pictures and information which was very helpful as well. We can heartily recommend a Tour with Roger!
