Really enjoyed our first visit to the Museum - excellent film descriptions of testimonies, nurses, soldiers, priests - excavation of tunnels and war equipment found - maps of battlegrounds superimposed over modern day locations

Well worth a visit. Lots of things to look at. Interactive displays. Reasonably priced. Allow at least 2 hours for a visit

The true horrors of war are laid out here. The town was flattened and rebuilt, this is all here in the displays, which are all interactive with your poppy wristband. If you provide an email address they send you a copy of every exhibit you "activate" with your band so you can have a lasting reminder of your visit. It can get a bit busy and crowded even if you go early, but still well worth the visit

Visited the museum as part of our Battlefields Tour weekend during Armistice 100 (11/11/2018) interactive information, harrowing photographs of the dead, before and after photographs, uniforms of the era, personal belongings of the dead, moving accounts of battles, preserved trench items. A very graphic collection relating to this war and its affects on the countries involved

Very informative, staff friendly. Busy with large school trips but was no problem. Clean and easy to look around.

Admittedly we visited on 11-11-18 after taking part in the 100 Years Service of Remembrance at the Menin Gate, but it gets very busy here.

Plenty to see and connected to the tourist information centre next door.

Everything well laid out and easy to follow, some fascinating items on display. Really brings home the enormity of the conflict and life during WW1

You get an English digital audio guide which was very detailed but rather too much so. We found there was too much reading and listening and far to few exhibits. Quite crowded. But still worth visiting.

You come out in silence as you contemplate what you have just seen and heard in the museum. Very moving. Excellent interactive displays, very good value

This is well worth a visit - as are so many of the museums here. The information is well displayed, easy to follow and detailed - I learned so much more than I knew before and could have spent longer in here than intended. The gift shop is tasteful with a good array of great books; we didn't get to try the cafe as it wasn't open before 11am.
