We booked 4 rooms at the Flanders Lodge (our second visit to this hotel), for 7 family members & friends visiting Ieper.
This is a great hotel, located on the outskirts of the city, and a brilliant location to explore the WW1 museums, grave sites and of course the lovely city of Ieper.
With a friendly team to look after guests this hotel offers good parking (we found space for our two cars every day), really good selection for breakfast, and nice friendly bar for those late evening get togethers. Accept the rooms are not large, but who actually sits in a hotel room with so much to see and do in the area.

Don’t miss “The Last Post Ceremony” at 20.00 sharp at the Menin Gate, very moving no matter how many times you see it.

With free WiFi, good food and on site parking, The Flanders Lodge is always our first choice in the area.

We would always recommend this hotel

Smaller rooms(not like what i saw online) Very tough for 2 people and 2 suitcases. Beds are next to each other touching(single) with very little room on either side of the bed! The breakfasts were delicious and service was great! They were remodeling the lobby/bar area which is very cute! The area around the hotel is great and easily walkable everywhere!

This was a very special visit this year, as my Grandson laid a wreath at the last post ceremony under the Menin Gate
in full military uniform on Thursday 18th April. The Hotel is still very good, clean & with an ample breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. It’s clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The choice at breakfast is very good. It’s perhaps a half an hour walk to the Menin gate, so perhaps not the best situated. However it suited our needs fine. There’s a lovely market on the square on Saturday morning. We attended the Last Post ceremony on both nights. It’s such a moving event and a credit to the beautiful city of Ypres. Also within easy reach of Passendale museum, Tyne Cot and many other interesting places.
