Just back from a three week Tour with son on a Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet, can't say enough about the hospitality of both Erik & Rosita, warm welcome, good rooms with shower, lounge, free drink on arrival, cool beer in the evening on the roof terrace and plenty space in their garage for my bike. They are just 2 minutes by bike from the Cloth Hall, central Ieper. Tip-Top.

We arrived at Fresco and were greeted by Eric & Rosita like we were old friends. Heaps of room upstairs with lounge room & outside deck to relax & unwind. Had the use of the garage to lock the motorbike up for the night. The beer fridge was brilliant finishing off the night with an ale with our host. Should be more like them.

As time goes on I use Trip Advisor more and more to decide where to stay, in organising a 48 hr mad dash motor cycle trip to Ypres I needed to ensure that we had decent accommodation for the one night we would be staying in Belgium, What I didn't need was an awful nights sleep after a 270 mile bike ride especially as we would be coming straight home the following day. Fresco caught my eye as it hadn't any negative comments - a rare thing as I know how fickle people can be reviewing stuff (just look at my review on the Guest House, Abergavenny) despite a hosts best efforts people still rubbish perfectly good accommodation. Anyway rant over, so a quick email to Erik and the Fresco was booked, very good communications with Fresco prior to arrival, Google earth is a wonderful thing so I flew down Erik's street from the comfort of my home just to check out the general area, Fresco is located in a quiet, pleasant housing estate about 20 minutes walk from the town square (and the Menin Gate) We had very hot weather 32c for the ride over so my mate and I were pretty tired on arrival. Erik greeted us in his cheery manner and we were quickly shown to our rooms. The B & B is the entire upstairs of this lovely house, 2 rooms, bathroom separate toilet, kitchen, dining room and sitting room.
An outside balcony has been created above the garage - a great place to unwind and have a beer.
Complimentary beers on arrival from the well stocked fridge in the B & B's kitchen and a honestly box if you consume more during your stay.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, I had the twin bed room as my mate considers himself 'officer corps' so he demanded the double bed in the other room. We both had a good nights sleep, its very quiet around the estate.
Breakfast was continental with a selection of breads, ham and cheese, croissants and jam, yoghurt and lots of coffee and tea. Both Erik and his partner are very attentive and chatty, I could have spent all morning chatting with them.
To sum up, absolutely brilliant place to stay, I will definitely return

Room Tip: The double has more room, but both rooms are very comfortable

The welcome never stopped,Erik and Rosita cannot do enough for you. Both my friend and I were motorcycling through France and Belgium going around the WW1 Memorial sites, we arrived in fantastic warm weather and our motorbikes were kept under cover in there garage, we were very warm and sticky after our ride from France, immediately we were offered the choice of a warm or cold drink or a COLD BEER !!...you can guess what we bikers had, and of course they keep the fridge well stocked with beer and wine at a very reasonable cost . The room was a twin beds and was very comfortable, very clean and all the towels and toiletries you could ask for, the location is great in a quiet residential estate and only 1.5 miles walking distance to the town centre. We were originally staying for 1 night but then stayed for a 2nd night as Leper is a beautiful town with lots to see, and of course we did not want to leave the comforts of this fabulous establishment and a lovely family. Breakfast is also amazing with plenty of fresh bread, ham, cheese and fruit, and also enough to take away with you for a packed lunch. Erik and Rosita have a great knowledge of the area and have lots of tourist info at hand for you to use and or take away with you. We would thoroughly recommend B&B Fresco and look forward to returning sometime in the future on our next trip. Thank you both again for a great 2 nights accommodation and service and great value......Iain and Graham.... Scotland / England

Unfortunately we only stayed one night here. Would happily go back and stay a week. As the other room was vacant, we had the whole top floor to ourselves. If there are occupants in the other room, you share bathroom, toilet, kitchen, outdoor and lounge/dining areas. The bedroom was huge, clean, and had a little welcome package of toiletries. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was fabulous - there was enough for us to take with us for lunch too. At EUR60 per double, this was fantastic value. The wifi wouldn't work on our phone, but Erik was kind enough to set up his laptop for us so we could check our messages. Thanks for a great stay, Erik and Rosita.

We ended up here at the last minute via the Tourist Information office when our booked accommodation fell through. Erik interrupted his lunch to come and pick us up, drive us to his place and show us the room. The B&B is on the first floor of the house. As there were three of us, they added a fold-up bed to the double room. The room itself was quite spacious, even with the added bed. The double bed was large and very comfortable, and the towels – well, they were very fluffy and almost too large to use. Almost. The bathroom had a bathtub and was shared between the two bedrooms, with a separate toilet. Bathroom goodies were provided as well. Communal facilities included a lovely terrace, a lounge room and a bright and airy dining room. There was also a kettle for guests’ use with tea and coffee provided, and the bar fridge was full of beer at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was lovely, and we had wi-fi access. The house is in a peaceful suburban area of Ieper that was within walking distance of the old town, but it was a decent walk. Erik, however, was happy to drive guests wherever they wanted to go. He really couldn’t do enough. He and Rosita were both very interested in all the guests who stayed, and we found ourselves having a lovely long chat with hosts and guests that evening. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night in Ieper, a town I found I liked very much. We would definitely come back here.

Room Tip: Both rooms are great.

Erik and Rosita are great hosts and they made us feel at home instantly. They are very knowledgeable about the area and give great advice on things to do during our stay. We had the double room which is a good size and from what I could see the twin room is equally as good. There is a kitchen/living room/breakfast area and a place to sit outside in the sun. The B&B is self contained on the 1st floor, it really was like a home form home and everything was immaculately clean and tidy. The breakfast's each morning were a treat, different hams and cheeses each day with fresh fruit and a variety of breads, all thoughtfully presented. We ate so much we didn't get hungry until the evening. Erik offered to cook for us at breakfast as he knows the English like a hot breakfast - which is one example of how accommodating Erik and Rosita are. The B&B is a short stroll from the center of Ieper and the train station in a very nice neighborhood, if you are cycling it's just a few minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day soon.
