“A must for the Flemish coast”
Review of The Kusttram

A fantastic facility for getting up and down the Flemish coast. We were based in Ostend and travell ed in both directions over the course of our stay. Personally I found the De Hanne side more attractive than the De Panne side which has been very heavilly developed - imagine a more or less constant line of appartment blocks stretching from Hunstanton to Sheringham!

The kustram is good value for money, reliable and easy to use.

This is a must do. Take a day ticket and travel along the Belgian cost from Knokke to De Panne. It is so good, they did not replace the tram by busses like they did almost everywhere. It is nice to jump of at De Haan or Blankenberge. Trams are frequent so there is no long waiting. Jump of at Oostende Kuurzaal and walk along the beach southbound. As soon as you get tired, jump on the next tram and relax.

This tramway is the ideal way to visit the coast of Belgium. You can get different tickets among the "hop on hop off" system. Parking in the coast cities is almost impossible.

€5 day pass on what is probably the World's longest tram line, 10 minute frequency during the summer peak periods. Bargain.

It is a verrry handy way of travel at the coast, but not really a must-see.
