“Very nice budget hotel”

This hotel only have doublerooms, which is excellent news for solo travellers, that sometimes are referred to single rooms that are more like small storage rooms! The hotell is modern and seems to have been spruced up with a bit of colour recently, which gives it a very clean and nice touch. The room had everything one can need such as a doublebed, bed tables, 2 chairs a desk and a closet for your luggage. A tele on the wall, and hairdryer in the bathroom. It is small though but what to expect for 70 euros. Bathroom ok, showercubicle is a bit smallish. Strictly one person at a time...:-). Location great - close to everything such as train, beach, shopping streets, bars (not on the same street) and restos. Breakfast was more than one can expect in Belgium with a choice of bread, tea/coffee/chocolat, cereals, youghurt, ham, cheese, jam, soft cheese, sausage, omelette, boiled eggs, juice etc. There is not much traffic in the area but the insolation between the rooms are not the best. Still, this is a very good value hotel that I would love to come to.

Room Tip: Room 343 with a doublebed. Morningsun though.

I recently travelled to Ostend with a friend for a few days and we booked this hotel online in advance; when we arrived it was everything we expected: great location/ very central to cafes, restaurants, train station and the beach; clean and modern décor. It wasn't anything more or anything less than our expectations but I would definitely recommend it as it is everything you want when staying somewhere for a few days and don't want to spend a fortune- in fact I think value for money is excellent. My only minor criticism is the space to walk along the end of the bed was extremely close to the wall so a few bruised knees and the shower was quite small but you get what you pay for and it certainly didn't detract from our stay. Staff were very polite and helpful too.

Zoals u het ook vermeld, is de prijs kwaliteit in orde.
De muur en douche zijn structurele minpunten en dit kunnen wij niet verhelpen. Eventueel kunt u wel de volgende keer een junior suite boeken. Die kamer kost gemiddeld € 10 meer per nacht maar u heeft wel dubbel zoveel plaats in de kamer en een bad ipv een douche in de badkamer. Hopelijk kunnen wij u hiervan overtuigen...tot later?

Just come back from my 10-11 time at this hotel and I can say it has got better yet again . The décor has been started and its much brighter .The staff have helped with any problems we've ad which was a great help , they're always very helpful I've found some who come on coaches (I was one originally) think there going into a 5star hotel it's only3 stars and much better in food tan some a lot more expensive . It's great as a base for travelling around the coast about 24euros on the tram a week (great fun for big kids).I'm looking forward to going at Christmas and new year all being well.

We stayed here for four nights as part of a coach trip. The staff were friendly and efficient. We arrived very late and were soon in our room. Although he room was small the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. I would not want to stay here for more than a few days. The meals, although not large we're nicely cooked and had choice. Altogether a pleasant stay.

At the last moment I booked an Easter break ln Oostende with a local coach company. Not my first visit to Belgium, I visit regularly and usually independently. My first impression of the OSTEND was efficient and friendly reception staff, as our group of 45 was issued with room key cards and remote controls for the in room TV set. 26 Flemish,French,Dutch,and German Channels also included BBCs 1 and Two. I had single occupation of a double bedded room, 244 on the second floor over the hotel entrance. The room has been excellently refurbished with a well equipped shower room. It made a pleasant change to have a selection of soaps and shower gels and shoe shine cloth, items which are no longer proved in 3 star hotels. The hotel is an independent family owned and run establishment, Employing multi lingual male and female reception teams, speaking among others, Flemish German French Spanish and excellent English. An army of servers provided a superb hot and cold breakfast. Plain and Lardon omelette, Ham, Cheese, boiled eggs. Cereals, Pain chocolat, croissants, breads and jams and although from a machine, excellent coffee. Catering for over 200 guets could be a nightmare but the Ostend breakfast room staff are like a well oiled machine, serving clearing and replenishing constantly. My only fault was a lack of trays necessitating a few trips to the breakfast servery. The dining room has the air of an office canteen but there are ample tables and as previously stated, the quality of the food on offer cannot be questioned. My three night stay was Enjoyable, Restful and VERY comfortable. I forgot to mention the bar where an friendly and efficient barman coped admirably with guests' multiple orders. Generous if not cheap measures were served at prices comparable with hotels in this category. I will stay there again, booking independently and directly with the hotel. I would recommend this hotel. It is not the Ritz but Londenstrat Oostende is not La Place Vendome Paris..

I've just come back from my 8th christmas and New Year ,and can say it has improved yet again ,I'm hopeing can find a way of getting me in for next year ,as I really enjoyed myself .The food has improved each year ,and there's plenty for everyone (what ever your taste).I found after the first day or so I cut down on my food or I would have ended up about 20 kgs heavier.
I'm looking forward to coming over when the wi fi is in every room ,as it was a bit of a walk each time going down (I'm 100% mobile).The place ideal for going along the coast on the tram 5 euro's for a day ,,and getting on and off any where.Brugge in is only 15 mins by train about 800 mtrs away.The trains run every 15 mins or so..
If you want a nice friendly hotel you can't do better ,the staff in the restaurant are always helpful and the room cleaners are always helpful .The reception staff always try and go the extra mile ,which is a bonus .
Keep up the good work and try and find us a space next Christmas and New Year and I nhope to come over in the summer at some stage.

Room Tip: ideal for any age I'm 55 and my father is 85 ,

We travelled with Shearings which was uneventful, however on arrival at the Hotel we were thrown the necessary paperwork (which was incorrect), key and remote for the TV. What a disappointment the room was dark and gloomy not enhanced by the poor lighting. It was not welcoming and the overall ambience did not give itself to comfort! As for the food this was mass produced with an odd assortment. Next the dining room, for those who have read or watched Harry Potter this was what it reminded me of, long benches uncomfortable seats - I was expecting Dumbledore to appear. I think the hotel needs to re-look at its decor and layout as it was not a happy experience. This is not just my view but other travellers including the six people I travelled with.

Its saving grace was it was very clean.

A review is a personnal experience during a stay.
The rooms have been refurbished last year. Colours and atmosphere is a personnel thing.
We served with these Holidays nice menus with good quality products, but for 240 persons in
buffet style. You can't expect a cossy restaurant in a place where we serve for 240 guests.
Even it's a big place we try to decorate it as nece as possible to create a nice atmosphere.
We hope you enjoyed the positive points of your holiday, and thank you to inform us about your stay in our hotel.
