Myself and my partner went here for dinner on our first night in Bruges after reading great things on tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed.
It's a lovely little place, very intimate and cosy - we got prime spot by the fire.
While it is clearly famous for its fondue, we went for the steak as we were craving it.. We had the chateaubriand and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've ever eaten - beautiful cut and cooked to absolute perfection. My favourite touch was as we'd both ordered the cream of peppercorn sauce, we were brought a massive bowl full with a spoon to just tuck in.. it was so good we just poured it over everything - salad, chips, the lot.
We had beer and amarettos and the whole thing was around €80-90 - not the cheapest but certainly worth it..!
It's just the 2 guys running it - one in the kitchen and one on the floor.. While neither spoke much, they definitely weren't unfriendly.
I felt completely relaxed which was a great foot to start off on for our first night.
I look forward to going back here when our travels take us through Bruges again!
