Our second night in Bruges was a Friday night and we really struggled to find a place without having to book first. This place really hasn't got enough good reviews. Me and my partner always thought a fondue was a cheese fondue, how wrong we were. Its basically a hot oil pot, then you can choose from a range of rare meats or fish etc, which you then cook yourself in the oil. Great unusual way to dine, very much fun, only downside is going back to the hotel to have your clothes and hair smelling like a deep fat fryer, apart from that, the restaurant was cosy, romantic and the staff were punctual. Price was slightly above average, two mains and a bottle of house wine was 75 euros

I have just returned from a trip to Brugge for my boyfriends birthday and we had a really good meal in Le Petit Patron which happened to be across from our hotel. We ordered the chateaubriand which came with frites, salad and peppercorn sauce. The steak was amazing. Our waiter was also lovely - so nice and friendly. Great service and great food - enough said!

Our first visit to Brugge was highlighted by a great meal in small but very quaint restaurant. The restaurant was nestled away on a side street of the main market and totally gave a feeling of warmth and friendliness. It only seats about 16 people so reservations are recommended. Our hotel called on our behalf and things set for our arrival. The maitre de (owner and server) spoke English to accommodate us which was appreciated. We ordered both a meat and cheese fondue for four adults. The meat fondue was served with various delicious sauces and the servings were large. The cheese fondue was a great accompaniment to the meat and we all enjoyed it immensely. A very friendly and cozy location, very much worth a second visit.

If you travel to Brugge you find it even more expensive than Paris. I was quite surprised but in the end it was worth ever euro.

Love the place.

Fantastic eatery, 1st class food, great service, good wine and not too expensive.

We ate 2 main courses, (one vegetarian and one of fillet steak), 2 desserts, and endulged in a bottle and a half of wine for just under 100 euros. Bruges is expensive but the visit to Le Petit Patron was well worth it. Highly recommended.
