“Wonderful late night meal”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

Have gone out after most restaurants were closed we came across this amazing restaurant. Very warm welcome and indredible food - the Sea Food with rice was incredible and the Sorbe ice-cream wonderful.

“A Hidden Gem”
Reviewed May 21, 2014 via mobile

At night the neighbourhood is quiet, so we did not expect, upon walking into a nearly deserted restaurant at 19:30, that we would be asked if we had a reservation. We were offered a seat at the bar as they were fully booked. Over the next 45 minutes the place filled up with the beautiful and handsome 30's crowd. The restaurant us a little out of the way, but worth the walk. Save yourself some aggravation and phone first for a reservation. It is new, modern and chic, and with a couple of rooms hidden in the back, much larger than it looks from the outside. The wine selection was excellent and reasonably priced. Dinner was also creatively presented and excellent, although the portions could have been larger. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine, 90 Euros.

“Simply superb”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

Nobody walking past this unassuming little place (ironically situated right next door to a three Michelin star restaurant) would realise what a temple of gastronomy it is. It looks just like any other wine bar. I detect signs that this is all a deliberate ploy, and that the owners are eschewing fame and fortune. This makes the place even more remarkable. Certainly the tourists do not seem to have discovered it and the place was full of locals. We had the degustation menu and had the pleasure of watching our fellow diners all tucking into the various a la carte dishes. All are most beautifully presented: a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. A notable passion for texture is a signature feature. The food is all of the very highest quality. Let us hope they continue to eschew the lure of the Michelin stars and allow us all to take delight in what they offer. Unmissable.

“Fabulous food.”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

This is a real foodie paradise. Wonderful food. It can't be long before they get a Michelin star. Our only tiny quibble was that the service upon entering the restaurant wasn't great. We were pretty much ignored for a while, until the boss came and took care of us. After that, everything was fantastic. Some of the best turbot I've ever eaten, and amazing desserts. Would definitely go here again.

“Beautiful Meal!”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

We made our reservations weeks before our vacation in Bruge, and I'm glad we did as the restaurant was packed! The food was excellent: creative, fresh and beautifully presented. We chose the "chef choice menu", a 4-course meal for 50 euros. Realize that the food is eclectic and gourmet, and the surroundings are sleek and chic. Service was slow, but this is Europe, not metropolitan US. We were very impressed as our credit card lacked the Europe "chip" and would not process--we did not have enough euros and management trusted us to return the next day to pay the bill!
